The only upside at present is our next 6-7 fixtures are against supposedly non-fancied sides

I think the injuries call for a change in formation and game plan for sure, without Stockley/Tolaj/Garrity we don't really have great headers of the ball. Maybe scrap the WBs for the match, play through the middle more and try to get Hackford in behind.

Byers has to step up here, he's been alright but with the injury situation as it is we could really use a commanding performance from him. Time to be the midfielder we thought he was when we signed him.

Also I think people are unfairly pessimistic about the idea of Hackford up front, small sample size admittedly but statistically he's been scoring at the same rate this season as Tolaj and Stockley, even slightly higher. Curtis complements him well and I envision a few smart 1-2s and flick ons from them today, hopefully some goals.

Injuries are injuries but they're just a chance for the next man to step up. Losing Headley's left foot is a pretty big blow but we have good depth elsewhere. Hoping for a scrappy win today but Salford have been good away

Sorted for later.

36/1 five timer

Crewe Bradford Doncaster County Wimbledon.

Last time I won on a coupon was about 1997 🤣.

Don’t think all of them will lose.

You can only play the hand that's been dealt to you,so come on you Valiants, every man put a shift in, fight every 2nd ball and earn a valuable 3 points. Anticipating Nathan Smith leaving a strong impression on Cole Stockton ,literally making his mark on him!...do him Smudge!!💥🤕👍

I agree about Byers.

Now is the time for him to be the leader on the pitch and control the game.

I think your point about Hackford is a good one as well. Curits likes to play quick reverses passes, if Hackford can get on the same wavelength it could be a good combination.

@ethan and archies dad

Don't think it's on any free channel, so pop a tenner into Vale's coffers.

Sounds like Tolaj is just a don’t risk him today job. Stockley not such good news. Either way it’s about those who are available to step up.
