Down to the fans now they have to encourage and get us through these games without our best players .

I believe the support has got us through many a game this season at home .

I believe if have something encourage the Vale fans will encourage it .

I think Moore has a team worth encouraging.

I will as I always do .

That's after a night shift finishing at 6a.m sat morning

If it was in the Premiership ref would have awarded it and sent him off. After seeing what the refs said after the Bromley and Bradford games, I wouldn't give too much credence to what any of them say. Just covering their own shortfalls and incompetence.

Still not a foul though IMO.

I respect you're opinion but I reckon your view is a one of a very small minority

On the subject of Hackford he need to be the first line of defence and work his proverbials off like Curtis did and Tolaj did, there work exemplary v NC second half ,meaning there back players were not getting time do whatever they please ...

If selected, personally hope Umolio is selected, he need s put the hard yards in with Curtis and keep Salford back

Looking forwards to it still as Byers will run the whole game it's up to people make the right runs John and Clark could be very pivotal tomorrow .

Here's hoping

Despite all the injuries (and ignoring the ‘keeper), going back to 3-4-3 we could be looking at just 3 changes from the team that beat a good Wimbledon side: John for Cover and Byers for Garrity is not that disastrous for me but Stockley’s replacement is the poser - I doubt Salford will be as physical at the back as the Wombles so could Curtis or Hackford do a job?

I doubt Clark will be in the squad. Moore said he hoped he would join back up with the squad in training later this week so think this will come to soon for Mitch. He won’t be rushed back, especially with only possibly a day or two’s training behind him.

What do we do in training??

Tolaj went off injured v Notts. Garrity was injured v Notts too. Stockley's injury started v Swindon, that one seems a recurring issue. Only Headley injured in training, so not sure where all this criticism of training has come from.

There will be 7 changes from the 10 outfield players mate.

3 changes? Sang is banned, Cover, Garrity, Stockley is 4. Not sure if Rico is fit again from his injury so could be 5 & Chiz hasn’t featured for weeks. Including Ripley I make that 7 with only Debs, Croasdale, Shorrock & Croasdale looking likely to play tomorrow

Moore has spoken to the press since Notts & talked about the injury list. No mention of Tolaj. I’ve heard his & Garrity’s latest injuries were from training. Ben did look in some pain during the Notts game so not sure about that one but the gaffer would have mentioned Lorent when asked about our current situation. This suggests to me Tolaj was fit at the time of the interview 🤷‍♂️

I'm thinking with so many injuries, a slight change in shape may be on the cards. Something like:

                      Amos

        Debrah   Smith   Hall

John    Byers         Croasdale    Hart

   Richards                        Curtis

               Umolu/Hackford

I just don't think Byers, Croasdale and Harper will work as a midfield 3. I could be wrong though

I’ll make a prediction on this Alan that if push came to shove we’d see that lad from Wolvo before we see Rhys on the pitch.

Duly accepted!

Let’s review it as the season progresses.

Seen that. Desperately unfortunate that is. Going to be big pre-season coming up for Planty. Would say it’s probably going to be make or break for him at Vale at least.

If you had said a big season, rather than pre-season, I’d agree you would have a point.

Planty has been excelling in all of his loan spells, most recently just a division below us, and well deserves a full season back in the Vale first-team squad to show what he can do for us.

Is the Tolaj injury rumour a strong one?

He wasn’t on the training pitch today so it’s spread like wildfire on line.

Could be a precautionary not to have him on the grass or injured in the hope he’s Ok tomorrow Or he is out injured

We will soon see tomorrow….

It does highlight a problem the club has not having training away from Joe Public who happily help the opposition giving away our injury issues.

Stupidity.

I think the clue is in the wording, “match fitness”.  He hasn’t played enough matches to be anywhere near match fit.  One outing in the Mickey Mouse, albeit against fairly decent opponents, won’t give him enough minutes to be considered properly match fit in my opinion.  He needs some of those 30 - 60 minute appearances just to get up to speed.

Yes, both important.

It's also a great opportunity for Rhys Walters to step up and show why he is well worth the long deal he has gained.

Rhys should now be back up to match fitness and could make some very useful 30 / 60 minute appearances.

Sorry, your quoted post should be after mine.

More realistically, Rhys hasn’t played enough matches to be anywhere near match >>sharp<<.

The lad is a good pro, and will certainly have been keeping himself match fit.

Do you think Darren would have offered him a 3.5 year contract if he had just been slobbing out with his Nintendo and some takeaways?
