Also dipepa looks like a unit. Bullying there centre halves when he came on

Hart was a beast. The amount of 50/50 he smashed was ridiculous. Excellent ( 2nd ) debut.

And as others have said Croasdale just did the crap work very well.

I thought Hart and Hall combined well together down the left, as well as Croasdale, but special mention to Heneghan, who I thought won everything in the air from the bits I saw.

Interesting viewing from the other side, who seem to think we weren't much better than them...

Literally one bloke though mate. 2 comments suggests as we know their fan base and interest is abysmal. Noticeable they mentioned Dipepa as obviously United fans who've latched onto Nevilles play thing.

I've gone to a random pub by myself and ended up having better conversations than that message board.

I really wonder whether the ex utd legends ever regret trying to make a team with no football league heritage happen. Could have easily tried Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and atleast had some fans and a runway for growth.

I’ve been very vocal on here regarding Tom Sang and I’m not changing my mind but he had a very solid game today much improved

It’s time to forget last season and give everyone a clean slate. I’m sure most of the detractors on here have something they want to forget. Onwards and upwards and remember we aren’t going to win 46 games.

It's very unfortunate that we've had to start the season with 7 players out.

Clark, Smith, Jones, Byers, Stockley, Grant, John. Not sure if John is a registration thing, you'd think so, but nevertheless we started today with over a quarter of our outfielders unavailable. 27% of the entire squad couldn't be picked!

To have that to put up with and still win is good going.

Only a cameo but I really liked the look of BBB, very aggressive but with the key skill of being comfortable on the ball at the same time. Tolaj is deceptively quick, him and BBB could wreak some havoc on the counter with a through ball or two.

Missed our most creative player in the squad there mate. Show Ethan some respect 😅 will only get stronger with those calibre of players to return 👌🏻

So without the Vale fans there would have been under 2K home fans attending the first home game of the season?

SOMEONE is throwing their cash down a black hole on their investment after what I saw live on Sky yesterday......

Salford City, like a little sucker fish following two gigantic blue and red whales.

I agree with many of the comments in here but I'm not sure I'm so enthusiastic as some over the Sang display. He was OK but missed a key pass to set up Paton and still looked a bit shaky. It was a much better display by him certainly but I wouldn't say he was immense or excellent.

I was hugely impressed by Curtis and Hart though - I thought their attitude was great and I also thought Croasdale and Heneghan just quietly got the job done. I also liked the forward potential. Tolaj and Paton will take a few games to get to the pace but show great potential while Dipepa is quite something for a teenage kid - what a player he will be!

But the stand out for me, and to no great surprise, was Garrity. Thank goodness we've still got him!

There’s still 3 weeks of the window left.
