That was my first thought,  but on reflection,  I think that would be very disrespectful to Ben and Chis, who both got double figures from midfield in a very poor team. Chis also got ( I think) 7 assists.  If only we had 1 striker who could match those figures.

As much as I absolutely loved seeing Arblaster in a Vale shirt, there no way he’s player of the season for me. I agree it’s either Ben or Chizzy. I’d lean towards Ethan. He’s the sort of player that will drift in & out of games but his goals & assists return for this season edges it

I still think back fondly to players like David Healy and Chris Killen and earlier still Neville Southall who graced the Vale shirt on loan.

 I know the season has been bad but everyone jizzing over arblaster is getting a bit OTT. But I accept it’s probably because most of the team have been bad. Having said that I agree with your point that it’s either Ben or chislett for player of the season.

 I'd go for Ben Garretty he's been asked to play in multiple positions this season and he also had a spell out with injury,but he never stopped trying.chizzy had good games but at times was conspicuous by his absence but that's just my opinion 😁

Always felt like he's the new Louis Dodds... maybe a touch more effective? Good luck to Dodds on his retirement tomorrow.

He’s top quality. Whether he makes it as a genuine EPL player remains to be seen but I suspect in a few years times we’ll be amazed that the lad played for us. Devine didn’t impress me a great deal. Talented but destined for lower championship or top end L1. I hope Arblaster doesn’t go to Liverpool as he won’t play, same as Carvalho but Newcastle might be a good move for him. Player of the season for me is Garrity. He’s far and away our best player and the only one whose commitment is never in doubt. I hope he stays with us but I suspect a top half L1 side will be in for him.
