How do you work that out ? we hardly won a game with Ollie and Devine playing.

Only 2 games won when both Arblaster and Devine started the games. Northampton and Wigan at home. Great potential but poor decisions ultimately from the club to allow deals where they could go back in January. Lessons for the future when loaning players. Devine only looked good once Arblaster got injured in the Middlesbrough game and was struggling to hold down a place until then

All loan deals have mid-season recall clauses as standard. Or are we expecting Premier League clubs to go "League Two Port Vale say they won't take out future captain on loan unless we remove the clause allows us to recall him after five months, better do as they say"?

The only way to ensure loan deals last an entire season is for the player to do well enough to play every week, but not well enough to warrant a move to a club in a higher division. That was nearly the case with Devine, but unfortunately Plymouth took a punt on him in January.

all loan deals can be recalled legally as the contract ownership and wages are payed by the contracting club in this case Sheffield United and can be recalled at their request

I reckon a full season in the Championship in a team who will possibly top 7 next season,  and then he'll move on .

I'm not going predict a Liverpool, Spurs type move but I'm sure in 18 months time he'll be a regular in a Premier league side.

Could see him at Brentford or Brighton. 

Think our owners were possible guests of the Arblaster family last night. Pics of them in the stadium.
