  1. Looks nice, I still have my old Tunstall Assurance top but i've put on a few lbs since then so a new version would be most welcome.
  2. It was a pleasure to see him in a Vale shirt and I hope he remembers us as much as we will remember him.
  3. And that’s that. Be careful what you wish for “Championship Ready” thanks Carol !!!!
  4. Well at least we have won something this season, every cloud and all that......
  5. Over confidence and arrogance running through the club hierarchy from top to bottom. Well this is where it has got you. Learn and Learn quickly.
  6. After many years of supporting the Vale through thick and thin, home and away, for the first time every I really don't want to go tomorrow night, I just don't think I can face it anymore.....what is wrong with me ?
  7. I think the majority of fans will agree and thank Carol for buying the club, I don't think that's the issue. What they talked about when they took over included transparency, communication, getting it right on the pitch 1st and more recently "Championship Ready". On saving the club 10 out of 10. On the the other items, well this is the issue, this is where the discontent starts. Little if no transparency or communication (other than a very ill judged open letter to the fans), far from getting it right on the pitch and a million miles away from Championship ready. All we want are owners that will give us Transparency, Communication and Getting it Right on the Pitch as a Priority.
  8. I think Darren Moore will have an exit clause in his contract if Vale get relegated. This wasn't his team, he is an ambitious and fairly successful manager and I just can't see him wanting to manage a L2 club.
  9. The thing that still gets me to the core is Carol's statement of "Championship Ready". What this does is set expectation. This get's people excited with confidence that the club that they love is finally being being run with passion, strategy and a clear vision for progression. Then comes reality, a lie, broken promises and disappointment. The worse thing you can do in a business is over promise and under deliver, which Carol has done. My trust in the Vision, Process and Leadership of the club I have supported for over 40 years has now gone. If you are unable to run a successful business delivering customer satisfaction then please hand it over to somebody that can. UTV.
  10. Hopefully a platform for Ryan Loft to build upon, hopefully a confidence boost for the team, hopefully the team will fight tooth and nail in the remaining games, hopefully 3 more points on Friday and whoever knows we might just stay up.....hopefully.
  11. Just got back from Burton, well there you go 3 points. Not the best game but the best performance from the team in a long time, fight, commitment, better cohesion and never stopped running. Really pleased Ryan Loft had his best performance in a Vale shirt and he deserved the goal, let's just hope he continues where he left off. Well done lads maybe a lifeline.
  12. I really don't think anything will be said and nothing will be done and to be honest it is disgraceful. Championship ready.....sold a lie, no ambition, no idea, no respect for the supporters.
  13. Burton Albion, ground capacity around 6,000 average home attendance arond 3,500 finished above Vale last season, above Vale again this season, doesn't seem right or are they just a much better run club ?
  14. Maybe that's why they are pushing for promotion and we are virtually relegated. Championship ready needs ambition not empty words !
  15. Oxford finished 1 place below us last season and this season they are currently in a play off position. Not much between the 2 clubs in terms of size, support and maybe revenue but they were better than us today in every department, what a difference 12 months makes. Over the past couple of years I have been really really positive about where we are as a football club, good owners, good structure, good vision (Championship Ready) and some good infrastructure improvements. And now.....well back to what we are used to..... Maybe one day somebody will come along and make this a successful club with some consistency.

    Why???

Does Carol & Co really want Vale to stay in L1 or do they have an ulterior motive ? Project Carol is about to hit the iceberg and still they do nothing ! Charlton sign Wickham on a short-term deal and he comes off the bench to set up the winner, he's been without a club for months Why didn't we get hold of him ? Not looking the best for Shrewsbury but what have they done ? Gone and signed x2 out of contract players, are they any good ? Don't know but at least they are doing something. Something is better than nothing WHY are we not looking to get in at least a couple of out of contract players in because we can't score and we can't defend very well and nothing will change until something different is done !
  17. Open letter to Carol and Kevin Shanahan, We have 11 more games to go to maintain our L1 status. If nothing changes then L2 is inevitable. We all know the issues but now it is time to roll the final dice for any remote possibility of survival. Charlton went out this week and hired Connor Wickham on a short-term deal, is that the answer for Charlton who knows but at least they have done something and something is better than nothing. Why didn't Vale go in for Connor Wickham ? Why don't Vale do something instead of nothing ? There are a number of free agents out there that could be secured on a short-term deal to give us some "options" that might "hopefully" get us over the line. If you don't change what you do you don't change what you get ! L2 will be a financial and PR disaster for the club. But it's your investment, your money not mine. Championship ready was the battle cry and us Valiant's bought into that expectation for what, to be let down again, be very careful what and how you communicate. Would you please take the next few days to sit back and really think, really think what you need to do differently NOW with 11 games to go and 33 points available. Valiant's
  18. Madine and Wickham are the 2 standout candidates that could do a job for us at least until the end of the season. Would be happy with either of them.
  19. No idea, I just want to see at least 1 proven goal scorer whoever it is until the end of the season then hopefully Flitcroft & Co can get it right for next season
  20. Yes I think he was for a short time but currently a free agent. At 35 you only have a short time left so maybe playing might be more important than a huge pay packet, you never know.
  21. Unfortunately not, so what do you think could he do a job for us up front on a short term contract ?
  22. What do people think on Lewis Grabban ? Ok he might be 35 but he has always had an eye for goal
