Cambridge (H) Match Thread - 27th April

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't be surprised at any result today, therefore a boring draw is more than likely. If DM couldn't pull the players heads from their arse this week then he needs sacking. The players just do not care, they will be the beach next week. Clueless muppets.

I think it’s quite normal for folk not to bother today. It has the relative importance of a pre-season friendly, and some are rightly furious by how poor it’s been. I went through a similar feeling after derby. Absolute despair by how bad it was - and took a few weeks off as I knew it wasn’t good for me.
Also fine if people want to go. A pre-match pint, the routine for the last time till August, seeing a few pals - it’s good for you after a long week regardless of the football.
Just let people do what they want, imo. Most of us will be trudging back in August.

Will be there, but no problem with those who won’t. If I had something better to do I would do it. Left at half time v Oxford, cold and miserable.

only going to see Vale mates for the last time until August.

I won't be there. Missed 6 of last 7 homes as a season ticket holder. Sapped the life out of me.

Personally see no point in me going as I'm apathetic and angry. I'll gain nothing from watching and sitting there numb and disinterested.

But I'll be back in August. Excited for the fixture list in June and come back with renewed vigour.

I just couldn't take any more this season. You bad bad fan. You're not a proper supporter.

I've missed a lot of remaining games Lincoln finished me off and then I come back v Exeter and that first half I thought who's this Vale they seem a quality side then the second half what seemed to me like they had nipped out to Crown at half time had five pints 12 shorts then come our and played the worst second half performance I've ever seen since probably another Vale recent game .

Most supporters have not being attending you like me have already paid for season tickets so financially you put in so I'd say every supporter who has done that well they can choose whether go or not .

No reprimands no nothing

I have to be honest and say I have missed the last home game and will be missing today for the first time(despite past <ovf censored> seasons) it's made me so fed up,unless i am really ill or on holiday i never miss home games,we have a caravan sited in Nantwich/Audlem which we go most weekends but me and my lad always go Vale from there(not far I know 🙂 ). We have season tickets so wont lose the money and we will be renewing for next season as i have done for over 40yrs now(apart from the one seo season, which i hated Bratt even more for breaking my season ticket every year cycle) I just hope the summer rebuild gets my umph back 🙂

What’s everyone’s views on the decision to stay in the centre circle after the game instead of the usual lap of honour? For me, it screams the word ‘ cowards ‘ they should be getting up close & personal to the fan base who have been incredible this year to be fair. To at least show some appreciation for the continuous support & be ready to face any abuse or criticism thrown their way which let’s be honest is more than deserved after an atrocious & embarrassing season
