Exeter City (H) match thread - 13th April

First half was good. We pressed, got in their faces, created and took chances with Uche giving his best performance second time around. Second half was one of the most gutless, chaotic, rudderless, and pathetic performances I've ever had the misfortune to witness. This bunch have the least bottle that I've ever seen in a Vale team. Anything goes against them and they collapse like a pack of cards but this was a new low even by their standards. Moore doesn't get off scot free as his replacement of Uche with Weir borders on the insane. Relegation is now inevitable and there's not a cat in hells chance we bounce straight back as most of these clowns have another year on their contract.

Ripley I think epitomises everything that is wrong on the playing side. Why does he have to get involved? This tippy tappy rubbish doesn't suit a side that has one of the worst defences in the league! Let them concentrate on defending rather than faffing about in their own area wondering whether to give it to smithy who is not renowned for his passing ability.
Bloody 9.15 and I still haven't calmed down despite several pints!

I’m far from happy with this season let me assure you that, and it’s typical Vale! Scared stiff & can’t handle any pressure whatsoever

On 1st January we were 15th in the league with 29 points from 23 games.  Exeter were 4th bottom with 23 points.  We signed 5 players none of whom started today and none of whom are league one standard.  Exeter signed 4 players and 2 of them scored 3 of their goals today.  If anyone thinks our position is down to anything other than completely sh*** recruitment then they must be mad.

Each transfer window we have rebuilt with polystyrene instead of bricks.  And we seem to have spent a ludicrous amount of money in doing so.  Moore makes mistakes but he has inherited a squad that is lacking in balance, bottle and balls.  That's all.

I too, am still trying to process what happened today. 

At least the cricket season has started and I can turn attention to my team, Warwickshire which has begun pretty well.  Given some reasonable weather, I shall enjoy my cricket, turn off from PV until we start next season in League Two. If I'm really lucky,  Solihull Moors will be in the National league play-offs and maybe a local "home" fixture for me next season if they are successful in gaining promotion!

From what I saw on iFollow , the players were having a chat on the pitch, as if nothing happened. Pathetic.
