We need to bring in a proper right back and left back in my opinion. Switch to a back four. Get the wingers on. Get it out wide and into Stockley and Paton. Stop with this absolutely tripe twatting it up the pitch to no one and constantly giving away possession, meaning we can't get out of our own half for most of the game.

Is that all?😁

The loaning out actually benefits the club more than the loaning in!

Arblaster?

A week ago we had made a solid start to the season looking good at the back. I felt we were done except shipping out at least Ojo with  Grant and possibly Jones.

Injuries to Hall and a more serious looking injury for Hart leaves  DM with work to do. A left footed player who can play LB is a must before the window shuts.Kyle John has looked promising but he needs to be on the right.

I always thought Grant would be allowed to leave but now I’m not so sure and think he could have a part to play in LWB/LM and CM squad roles.

IMO loans look the most likely option at LB and I’d also like to see a direct running LW as a different option to Curtis.

The rest of the squad looks good with enough cover for me. Perhaps not exciting but an interesting week ahead with more clues how we will play moving forward with Byers and Stockley.

Would say we need a left back if Hart's injury is as serious as it looked. Kyle John is not a left back or left wing back, stick him on the right side in his natural position

Bit worried about our physicality to cope with the rigours of league 2. Too many nice lightweight players and not enough steel in the team. Fine if they have pace but apart from Benicio I don't see any pace and certainly no strength or height in most areas of the team, taking out Heneghan, Hall and Stockley

In fairness we needed another LWB before Hart got injured.

On your second point, Benicio and Diamond were bought in for their pace, plus Curtis is no slouch.  We have a fair bit of height across the team but we’re not a team of giants.

Has there been any update on Hall and Hart? Connor was at the supporter’s club meeting Thursday and didn’t rule out himself being available for Barrow (though he said he was 50:50 which was perhaps a bit too optimistic on his part - which it turned out to be) but haven’t heard anything about Sam Hart - though haven’t had chance to listen to DM’s post match interviews yet either where he may have mentioned one or both the player’s injury status.

The gaffer mentioned Hart got his studs stuck in the turf and they would have to  assess the injury in the next few days

I’ve not heard anything at all about either player but Hart injury looked a bad one the way he landed.

Yeah, I'm no expert, but Hart looked like a months rather than weeks injury.

Does anyone have any updates at all on the injuries from Saturday...??

Left the Vale hung out to dry. Not his fault but results went downhill fast after he left.

That's the problem with loanees. The results and team end up shaped around them and are hard to replace once successful

Good luck to the kid. He was thrown into a very difficult situation with us which he wasn’t ready for. That said he didn’t disappear when the going was tough unlike some players I can think of down the years.

I think no room for Garrity is bonkers. Crossdale would be the one to leave out in my opinion. Byers and Garrity in the middle, chissy and Curtis out wide with Paton and Stockley up top.

That team selection is a nice idea but I just can't see the manager setting us up like that mate 🙈, no offence 👍
