Agree we need a clear out but that might be difficult unless we pay some contracts up

Ojo has two more years on his contract, so he'll stay unless there's a pay reduction clause for relegation.  I think Chis will go as well, if we go down.

    I know this is about summer but browsing YouTube as I often do I watched 5 mins of Liverpool v Man City U21. Williams absolutely fine and playing week in week out. 

    So our January 2024 loanees 

    Williams. Alleged poor attitude. Sent back. Definitely not injured as Vale press release said.

    Gore. Injured after 60 odd mins. Not seen since. 

    Mighten. Rarely used. Pointless signing. 

    Lopata. As per Mighten. Can't get in one of the worst defences in the division. Pointless signing. 

    Weir. Generally anonymous yet shone in another relegation side in Morecambe last season. Pointless signing. 

    What a sorry sorry bunch of signings.

    Despite so many being under contract I can see a lot of players being moved on during the summer

    I hope so.

    If we do manage to stay up, Stockport and Wrexham being in the same league as us and fishing in the same pool for players (although they were probably doing that to some extent anyway) won't help matters. We're going to have to think outside the box.

    I think there will definitely be a reduction if we get relegated and with Ojo /Ono being one of the top earners hopefully he will jump ship

    Thinking outside the box could mean a player like Conn-Clarke from Altrincham to replace Chislett if we get relegated and he leaves

    I know some will moan as he is from Altrincham and tbf I have only seen him on tv but i have a mate who has had to watch him a lot over the last couple of months,he is still only 22 i think and he has been one of the star players in the national league this season

    I imagine that we stand absolutely zero chance of getting him now. Even if a championship club isn't sniffing around, the likes of Wrexham and Stockport would easily outbid us.

    What was Flitcroft playing at?

    Would be hard to purposely engineer such a complete load of 'bobbins'. However, Flitcroft managed it.

    If we get relegated expect the cheapest of the cheap. No strikers again and all our under contract “stars” keeping their money for another year while we finish 14th in league 2. 
     

    Carol spent nothing this year, so don’t expect the boat to be pushed out in league 2. 
     

    Expect a load of Championhip loans instead of the Prem ones and that’s your lot.

    Williams had just the attitude we needed. He saw the situation was crap and probably told Flitcroft to fook off when he saw the obvious shambles. Difference is, we have a club of dim mugs who fell for his tales of excellence. 
     

    Flitcroft came up with another yarn to save face.
