It's dissapointing, but not the end of the World. We do seem to need 3/4 'Quality' players in Key positions now though if we wish to even compete this season.

 

I would imagine MA has been expecting this news and already has a replacement lined up.

I can't see how he benefits from leaving us, he blatently isn't going to sign for a league club, must be the money of Mansfield. He had a couple of solid seasons but was not great last season. Good luck Tommo!

ive heard were after steve simonson ben smith or adriano basso as replacement all 3 decent keepers in there respective leagues simmo wud get some stick here for his joke days but i certainly wouldnt mind the brazilian keeper here

He was a good league 2 keeper on a par or better than most and worse than some. But his moving on is something that Micky Adams can address and more easily than replacing Richards up front. Good luck to him.

He should have thought about that before he said 'no' to Vale. He'll probably end up in non league now.

I quite liked Tomo, he started well but last season he made a few blunders (this is the 4th division). I am sure who ever they get in will get the same abuse as Tomo and Martin (and many keepers before them) got. Unfortunately it's the nature of being a keeper, I know I was one (taught by Gordon Banks - when he had one eye mind!) except my **** pointed down not out.

I really liked tommo, I thought he was good enough for this standard; however it isn't that big of a loss as there are other keepers out there that are better that we could sign. Maybe one of the reasons he left was the possibility of being second choice to someone else such as Ben smith
