Synectics Sold

When does the club issues statements about things like this.  Normally only the toilets are broke, bring a bucket if you want a half time wee.

Hopefully they may do as they are a main sponsor.  You never know the new company taken over may sponsor the Vale.  Stranger things have happened - Vale one day may actually get a striker who can score.  😉

Steady on there!!🤣😁

For those who are hoping that the Shanahans spend a load more of their money on the Vale, how would they do this? We'd still be stuck with only being able to spend 60ish % of income on the football side, wouldn't we? We can't even hope for some dodgy MCFC style OTT sponsorship deal now that Synectics is sold.

Whilst the SCMP rules theoretically limit spending, the definition of relevant turnover includes provision for cash and equity injections.

As such an owner can inject cash or equity, subject to the SCMP rules, and “inflate” the relevant turnover figure to fund higher player salaries. In the instance of cash, the rules require a guarantee that the amount injected is not repayable.

It is undoubtedly how some clubs in recent years have been able to compete way beyond their natural resource base.

NOT trying to put a Downer on matters here BUT......

IF Carol invests some of her hard earned millions into the Vale and some DECENT players, could that not lead us into 'Fair play' issues a la Everton??....

Just ASKING likes.....
If she loans it yes. If she gives it no. The selling price would more than likely be a little bit of cash & the rest as shares in the company buying it. But a 7% yield on a £100 million of shares would be more than enough to chuck a few of million a year at it.

It’s laughable how fans think she’s going to plough millions (more) into this club.

Take the money Carol and enjoy a hassle-free retirement away from the toxic spotlight of modern football.
Absolutely spot on go and enjoy it flower

I think Carol will continue at Vale. Maybe, even get others on board? To be fair though, I don't think there will be massive changes/investment in the squad in the short term. Reasons: FFP, most players are contracted for at least another (next) season and in reality, I don't think there needs to be massive investment to get out of League 2 or even survival in League 1.

The appointments need to be right. Just like the promotion season. Money on its own does guarantee anything.

My twopenny worth :

It's hopefully great news for Carol and her family and should see them and future generations extremely 'comfortable'.

I would like to think that all of the employees of Synectics will be looked after and remain employed (assuming of course that that is their wish).

IF the Shanahans decide to invest further funds into Port Vale FC I hope that we all accept that there are limits, and that anything they do invest is done so with the future of Port Vale in mind, whether that be short-term investments, long-term, on the playing staff, infrastructure or whatever.

If they choose NOT to invest, sell up and retire, I for one would not blame them in the least.

Finally, I would like to thank Carol, Kevin and co. for what they have achieved thus far and I trust that whatever they do from now on, they are and forever will be in my debt.
