Thats true. This season we have failed massively to do this

Exactly. I don't know why so many people expect us to be picking up points away at the big teams. I think we can drag 6 points out of the games coming up. Maybe get a draw at Bolton.

Not really bothered if we lose to the big teams. If we win or draw it's nice but have to perform against the teams at mid table and down at the bottom

Carlisle 3 points

Fleetwood 1 point

Cheltenham 0 points

Burton 3 points

Shrewsbury 0 points

10 games 7 points.

Not going well that strategy is it.

Carol take a look at Posh players.  This is proper recruitment and a club that is championship ready. Yes they have paid high wages, but you get what you pay for.

We are not even 1st div or 2nd div ready with this bunch of players.

The Peterborough owner and chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, has had >>18 years<< to develop their club, and has done an excellent job.

Their scouting set-up is brilliant (and I hope the model for the setup that I'm sure Vale are trying to build) and has earned them a lot of money in the transfer market, as well as filling their team with the quality they showed tonight.

Darragh MacAnthony has also poured in £millions of his own money into the club.

Peterborough are paying out nearly £5 million a year in wages despite only averaging around 9,000 gates.

And still Peterborough have spent about half of the last 18 years in League 1, having repeatedly yoyoed back down from the Championship.

To state the obvious, it's extremely difficult to run a successful football club.

Carol has already achieved some excellent progress with the Vale, notably with the new and excellent management team she has put in place at significant cost.

And Carol has once again shown her financial commitment with an promising new signing as the club begin to build for next season.

Although it's hard to do, especially after a painful night like tonight, the Vale fans need to be patient and positive - the club is going in the right direction however the rest of this season pans out.

And anyway we still have every chance to start next season in League 1.

Come on Vale.

Other sides manage it. We’re playing league 1 sides not Man City.

Who's the promising signing ?

You don't mean the left back who has played 100 games in a decade ?

If you really are Patrick Shanahan, then you’ve just made yourself look a grade a tool.

I'm not saying we shouldn't try get the 3 points at the big teams. I'm saying I'm not bothered if we don't because our squad obviously doesn't have the ability. I'm just happy we are starting to crawl back up.

What do you expect to happen? For Us to all of a sudden win every game

I'm happy that a couple months back we started actually getting some points.

Do you work for the club in some capacity?

That Peterborough team have the best collection of attacking players in Lge 1, same as last season.

If they don't get auto promo I doubt they'll go through via the play-offs as a better team than Vale will exploit the space they leave when attacking, they're like a "group of flat track bullies".
