Agree with this.

This is part of the problem with how the club has handled things. People are in a very dark place when it comes to the football club at the moment… so emotions are inflated massively.

The tackle was awful, I was there and saw it live… but it was a long time ago and that’s not the reason to not want someone as manager. Especially in a Team which is being accused of being too soft. We could do with a bit of edge and will need it to avoid relegation.

His lack of experience however is a fully justified reason not to want him.

Had the challenge been on a player from another club then Vale fans might not feel so strongly about it but the fact that it was realistically means he should not be in the running to manage us.

Read Robinson's biography last year. From memory it was the first chapter and covered in depth. Little remorse . Think he got taken to court over it too

I don't think you can compare Hughes and Robinson. Hughes made a terrible mistake and served time for it. He showed contrition and did charity work after his release. Robinson never apologized to Stewart and never showed any sympathy towards him.

He showed enough contrition to be convicted for assault 8 years later, and still rocked up to adulation to PVFC fans. He's an awful man. The things they did aren't even comparable, contrition or otherwise. 

Whilst I get people have a nasty taste in their mouth over Robinson and don't want him as manager, I don't think moral superiority is something we can latch on to as a fanbase. We sold that right in 2013.
