Why are we all sat here waiting?

It doesn't require a sit-down meeting with tea and biscuits. We've got a game Tuesday.

Crosby, Schofield, Dunn, and Nash should have been sacked last night. Flitcroft this morning.

Carol is the owner. She needs to start making some ruthless decisions on her own.

Spot on Cracking Post

I agree with that 100%

After watching the highlights (somewhat reluctantly), I think a change of shape is required  either 442 or 433, making us less exposed on the flanks.  Need to tighten up and stop giving away soft goals.  It starts there. Don't ask me who will play at fullback, but they're all professionals and some should be capable of doing the job.

I agree we need to play 4 at the back. Problem is we’ve just loaned our best RB out to Stockport.

So it was ojo laughing allegedly.

I took it as well done lads, well done - as in sarcasm towards his own idiotic team mates - and you know what - I agree with him

I play football every sun morning and if someone makes a mistake in my team im effing and jeffin at them and expect the same back what I wouldn't do is laugh and clap , I think that's pathetic especially if  it's coming from a professional footballer.

Just walked past Fleetwood’s stadium and heard some shouting. Sneaked in and saw Lofty all alone on the pitch still putting himself about a bit. I thought good on him, it will do his confidence good to keep hitting the back of the net. Sarcastically asked him the score, “0-0 mate” he replied.

I heard that crosby asked dunn to lay some dustbins out all over the pitch and told loft to practise carrying the ball in and out of the dustbins and shooting at goal, about half an hour later he rang dunn and asked how it was going. Dunn replied, well the bins are two nil up at the moment but I'm hoping lofty can turn it around in the second half 😁

Can I add one more thing.

There's lots on here that are FIFA Manager/Experts. I'm not.

Everyone seems to be blaming AC; I don't I think (the word there is think) it comes more down to DF who recruits the players and so I think AC has been sh@t on.  From a great height.

No idea what we do from here.  So not me being a clever bleeder like I know stuff. Cause I don't.

One thing I'd love to hear from the club: this is what happened in Deadline Day - we did X but it didn't work. We're talking to three free agents and we will bring more players in - or, that's it we've got what we've got.

Give us a clue what's next Vale. Silence just isn't acceptable.

I'll shut up now.

Have a great Sunday Valiants

I think DF and the recruitment team have let AC down considerably and should pay the price but I am not sure we can blame DF for AC setting us up with a narrow back three on a wide pitch or for persisting with wing backs when we don't have any specialist wing backs or for asking our midfielders to pass the ball around waiting for runs that nobody makes before passing it back to ripley so he can smash it up in the air looking for a target man we don't have. He needs to best utilise the players he has but I don't believe he has done that it looks to me more like he has attempted to fit players into a system that doesn't suit them because he is too stubborn to change his system. If DF wants him to play possession football then he has to get runners running in behind their defence for our premier league wonder kids to pick out but apart from garrity and chislett on the rare occasion nobody is making those runs and that has to be down to the manager. Either the players he has aren't capable of making those runs due to lack of pace, strength , stamina or whatever or he isn't allowing them to make those runs because he is worried about what happens when we lose possession but either way its his problem to solve and he has had plenty of time to find the solution.

The amount of times that there was so much room between the wing back and the centre half against Pompey was a joke. They knew exactly how we were going to play and how to exploit it. To play 3 at the back, you need wing backs who can get up and down and decent ball playing centre halves who can find them, we have neither. Why we are persisting with a formation that is clearly not working with the players we have I have no idea. Go more solid with a flat back 4 and a holding midfielder. That leaves less space for the opposition to exploit.

If you look at a lot of the goals we concede, a lot of them are from balls played between the wide centre halves and wing back. It seems like a really obvious thing to sort.

I feel it’s the only thing that will push Carol to any form of action, either start some chants that she can’t ignore or like someone has previously said don’t turn up at all

There was plenty of anti-Flitcroft chanting yesterday but Carol wasn’t there to hear it.
