There was plenty of anti-Flitcroft chanting yesterday but Carol wasn’t there to hear it.

She’ll be there Tuesday!

Genuine question  is Carols heart/focus still on the Vale as I have heard she has missed a few games recently ?

Didn’t she say she’s been very ill recently in an ACU ward.

The amount of times that there was so much room between the wing back and the centre half against Pompey was a joke. They knew exactly how we were going to play and how to exploit it. To play 3 at the back, you need wing backs who can get up and down and decent ball playing centre halves who can find them, we have neither. Why we are persisting with a formation that is clearly not working with the players we have I have no idea. Go more solid with a flat back 4 and a holding midfielder. That leaves less space for the opposition to exploit.

If you look at a lot of the goals we concede, a lot of them are from balls played between the wide centre halves and wing back. It seems like a really obvious thing to sort.

We were getting absolutely murdered behind the wingbacks v Portsmouth. Somehow we only lost - controversially - near the end.

So my view of this is that Crosby plays 3 centre halves to compensate for the weaknesses at wing back. There is no positive to be had. The wing backs are like poor wingers going forward.

I have really had enough of this Crosby tripe. It's not hard to see what is happening. I believe at this moment we have good enough players to be comfortably in mid table. Ok, we have issues by losing good players going back to parent clubs and injuries up front. But the manager is there to design defence and attack that suits the players available. When I turn up on Tuesday, Crosby will make all the same mistakes again. And it's going to rain.

As I said she was poorly yesterday.

Let's give Charlie Adam some credit ok Vale were pathetic but they dealt with us easily .

If he can do that then maybe along with the likes of Barton he could be in contention for the Vale managers job .

All his players wanted it .

This is what annoyed me about Vale .

None of ours wanted it

Could just imagine him working for a woman owner. That would be a bridge too far for me not that it would even have a 1% chance of happening.

Joey Barton knows he's never going to work again but he's got the wealth to able to do that

reading through all these posts. my how the worm has turned. i was hammered on here for suggesting AC shouldve gone after the lincoln debacle. i wasnt wrong was i?

tbh flitcroft needs to go too. hes useless and stealing a massive wage which couldve been applied to a decent forward. sadly our owner knows nothing about football and has to pay others to sort that side of the "business" out

Which presumably means NO decisions will be made then whilst she recuperates.?
