perhaps the Vale made a honest statement I.e. Robbie believes Carol is a top quality owner and he simply wants to do what he can to support her.

Perhaps the media 'smelling a story' if they put a different slant on it publish RW wants to buy the club.

The media not publishing the true facts? !!!!!!!

Probably more likely. Besides Robbie buying the club and running it are two different things. The scenario that offers most stability is Carol runs things with Robbie paying a bit in respect of investment. Personally I don’t see any big money being put it. Support for a community project makes sense.

The Sun story is total cobblers of course. “Last night a source said”…that could be a bloke in a pub! Page 11…”a source says, it’s really early days but Robbie’s been formally approached to see if he’s interested in fronting a bid”…bloke in pub again!

As Carol has openly stated that there has been absolutely no approach it is obvious that either there is something going on and Carol is trying to keep it quiet for now.

Or, there is absolutely no tryth in it whatsoever.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

It would be fantastic if Robbie was able to take a part ownership in return for a financial investment, but I cannot see Robbie being "involved" in any meaningful way with any of the day to day operations of the club as he is almost always touring.

Good press for the Vale if anything does come of it.

RW takeover denied on ITV, bit of national publicity and that is it for the time being?

He’s only been el Presidenté for a few days and we’ve had national TV coverage and been front page news.  All a bit more positive than some fat pitch invader trying to whack the ref.

Maybe, but they haven't got the money to go further. Also the population of Wrexham is 44k. They haven't got the support to go further. Their fight shortly will be not to go backwards.

Ryan Reynolds sold a major stake in his gin company for £750 million

Not sure that’s 100% right, it was a lot less I think and a fair chunk of that isn’t up front it’s performance related.  Also he’s not the sole owner so the money isn’t all his.  Still received a fair wedge though on top of already being incredibly wealthy.

Edit:
