The only difference I see is Robbie's local ties and the Hollywood boys being born not so local to Wrexham

That is the only difference.

My main angle on that is that I think at some point the Wrexham boys will get tired of their involvement. When that happens they are likely to walk away and Wrexham will be left in a mess. At Port Vale I think Robbie Williams will be more careful in what he takes on and more caring about its ultimate sustainability. The current owners are very invested with and concerned about sustainability as well.

Interesting, I would image there is some element of truth in it be it a bid not logged yet or even just a consortium is trying to get Robbie on board.

Either way can't be often we are front page headline of a major UK newspaper!

That said IF true some key questions for the fans would be:

Who is the consortium/what funds do they have?

Would Carol Sell? or stay on in some capacity?

What the plans would be?

You can see who the good guys are in football and the Wrexham boys are some of those good guys.

They will not walk away for a number of years and they will make sure the club is handed in a good state to someone else who they can trust.

Ryan & Rob are the real deal

Its in The Sun. Its likely to be absolute b+×÷@$#

Don't fall for it.

Yes, that's a very valid point. I'm sort of entertaining the discussion.

Another angle. I've been coming to Vale Park since 1977 when I was 18. So closing a third of the club history now. It hasn't changed much. So why should it now? What radical transformation is possible!?

Maybe, but they haven't got the money to go further. Also the population of Wrexham is 44k. They haven't got the support to go further. Their fight shortly will be not to go backwards.

I would not get excited lads

I’m just waiting for the Carol Clinging onto power by refusing Robbie’s bids posts on here 🙈

Makes sense with what I was told in December. Gonna be an interesting few weeks I imagine whatever happens.

In fairness I agree, they do seem good guys and do a lot with the fans in terms of donating if any are in need of operations and things like that.

Potentially but are they alone or backed by a consortium? They also seem to have other famous actors there regularly and the sponsorship deals they have are quite large (United Airlines!). Add this in to the Netflix documentary which I am sure someone mentioned is like 250k an episode and it adds up.

That said another example is Salford and they are really struggling all of a sudden so seem to have hit their ceiling.

20m a year the Netflix doc is worth. Would pay for a few strikers
