So that means you aren't confident Vale can stay up? Surely then that leaves Burton and Vale after Cambridge had that win today?

I have thought we would go down after Fleetwood away and think we will have a dam good go but the league doesn't lie after 46 games I think we will go down on 48 points.

Next big test is if we do go a goal down how will we respond

That’s my biggest concern. Last two games we’ve managed to score first and keep the opposition at bay. This obviously breeds confidence. In previous games we’ve conceded first and then looked dreadful.

We’re not going to continue keeping clean sheets or scoring first but the belief has got to be there to get back in the game.

With their loss at Reading yesterday at least Northampton now have nothing to play for on Monday. I was thinking that four points over the Easter period would have been great but with yesterday's results in mind yet again we need another win I'd say....

Cheltenham have 5 home games and DC will keep them up.

For Cheltenham a lot depends on if they can get Matt Taylor back .... and how serious Lloyd's injury was yesterday.  Rob Street is definitely out for the season. They have no other forwards and will be heavily dependent on Liam Sercombe for goals. Squad wise I think they may be in a very bad position.  They'll be tough to beat but if the injuries go against them I think they'll fail due to a lack of goals.

The next 2 away games are massive.  Neither team has much to play for. As a minimum we need 2 points from those games. The 3 remaining home games are winnable.  Torquay were relegated years ago with 51 points and a number of teams have gone down with 50. Looking at the table today and games to play it is not inconceivable that 52 points may be the safety target. It's entirely possible we could win the 3 home games and still go down. It's quite likely the Cambridge game will be a winner takes all.

I personally feel Vale have left themselves with too much to do. It's going to take a massive run of wins in reality

Cambridge looked doomed last season after sinking in to the relegation zone and then turned it around doing a greater escape than we could make, winning their last game of the season. They will think they will do it again.

From where we were 2 weeks ago I'd be reasonably happy if Cambridge had to win their last game to stay above us. That would at least show we had played well for a sustained number of games.
