Wonder what side will turn up - the charity side or the ruthless side who takes all three points and scores a hat full?
Radio sjoke just said the game may be stopped and played behind closed doors later tonight due to the Reading fans planning pitch invasions to get the game abandoned.  Feel sorry for the Vale fans who have travelled down to watch the game.  Why not just stop the Reading fans getting in and allow the Vale fans in to watch the game.

Can't see the match being played later to be honest.

Radio sjoke said the league have said the game has to be played today.  So the closed door scenario looks like it might happen.  Feel for the Vale fans who have travelled down there.  Not fair on them at all if this happens.

Reading can reimburse them for travel and tickets

Shocking. I get there issue isn’t good but ruining it for our fans isn’t on. They should be penalised for that and reimburse all travelling fans

Would there owner do that?  Their owner seems to have read the fat controller - blue ones book on how to take money out of the club and not put money in and then threaten to close the club.

"Dreary and uninspiring" is rich coming from a club that play in a conference and events venue miles from anywhere. They are the epitome of the worst of English football - a drippy support, a soulless shell of a club. They probably invented the 50/50 scarf. They're in the same category as MK Dons and Brighton. They also have had paper clappers, and that's enough to want them relegated.

Would agree with MK Dons, but not Brighton, who are a proper club who nearly went out of the league, sold their ground and had to ground share, before becoming what they are today. MK Dons are a made up plastic club with no history, an identikit ground, and inept supporters.  Quite the opposite for Brighton.

Sang was probably the weakest of the 3 available midfield players. If Weir plays as he did for Morecambe he has to start.  It'll be interesting to see which of Devine or Weir plays deeper.

Balmer must either be injured of going back to Palace. Possibly a chance for Cass to resurrect his career. Lomax can also play centrehalf,  so that may be the reason he's selected ahead of Shorrock.

Shorrock is a class act  👍

Given our lack of left sided players I would have had him as an option.  He could be injured or sick I guess.

Just arrived at the ground; came down on the train with some of their fans. They say there's lots of talk about a pitch invasion and sit down protest.

Told we'd sat down with Fulham many years ago. (However - I'm up in the gods)

They are not happy - they also do not believe for one second that they will win this match.

3 points here for the taking. Need to be ruthless

Reading fans should have more faith in the Vale giving them 3 points.  We do it all the time for clubs on bad runs or in the bottom 4.  🤣

Have a lot of sympathy with their fans over bad owners and how they can ruin a club.  We have seen that happen at the Vale.  Just hope the game goes a head at 1500hrs for all the Vale fans who have travelled to it.

If played tonight - no doubt the sjoke radio wont put it on.

Previously they used to throw tennis balls onto the pitch on the 16th minute.  Pitch invasion will mean if they follow the law - all those entering the pitch will be banned from matches.

What ever happens - hope its just peaceful and no one gets hurt. As that will distract from the protest reason.  The press will focus on the people getting hurt than the actual reason for it.
