Stevenage (H) FAC2R Match thread 12th Dec

Post Match thoughts; I'm gonna start by saying I thought the fans tonight in the Hamil end (correction)* were class, I felt proud to be vale! 

Secondly I have to give credit to Stevenage, they were a good side.. and I can understand why they are where they are in the league. They had a fight about them. 

We showed sprit and fluidity tonight at times, and looked in control, but I think Crosby got it wrong with the subs, hopefully lessons were learnt. I'm glad we've remembered where the net is though!  Even flipping loft scored... still looked flaky but let's keep cheering the muppet into being less pants whilst he's under contract.

life goes on at, Like the boo boys have been saying, they'd rather see us do well in the league, so get behind the boys agaist Wigan.

Perhaps the Giant Slayers are but sharpening their knifes

17th (lower mid table?) in Lg1, quarter finalists of a major cup competition and knocked out of the other major cup competition on penalties by the 3rd best team (based on league position), I’d imagine. They obviously don’t have our insight and the same feeling of inevitability/crystal ball of how our and all other teams’ in the division next 26/27 games will go.

Brilliant. We’re the worst side in league 1 this calendar year. I’d hope they look at that rather than us managing to beat Burton in the 1st round of the fa cup and losing to a side just promoted from league 2 and in our division on a much smaller budget at home.

Just seen this Joe and completely agree. Said it after the Barnsley game about the backroom team, but was willing to give Crosby a chance. He's had his chance now and royally <ovf censored> it. Get them all gone.

We are the worst football club this calendar year. We’ve got to a QF of a league cup beating a dreadful Fleetwood and three league two teams. Scraping past all of them.

We walked into the season with only Josh Thomas as a striker. A young kid on loan. We then signed a player we as good as let go in Wilson and then signed, two more strikers, belatedly, who can’t hit a barn door.

Our league wins have been ugly and some in the last knockings of the game. 
Our cup wins have masked absolutely everything.

Anyone who has a decent memory will remember the Bruno season. It’s so reminiscent. Yet, and I’ll stick up for Carol, she ain’t no theiving Norman who was the biggest crook in town.

But…… Carol…….. Seriously wake up. Because you are having your pants pulled down by David Flitcroft. He should have been gone in the summer. And Andy Crosby can talk a good game but he is nowhere near a football manager.

The one thing that needs to happen is that Andy Crosby gets fired. David Flitcroft gets fired. And this “project” has not worked. They are robbing livings. Fans have had enough.

We are 19 days away from the new year. If either or both of these clowns are in a job by then, then I will come to the conclusion on January 1st that you either have no money to fire them or you’ve lost the plot.

Crosby and Flitcroft are long gone in the fans eyes. Don’t let the fans start the hate on you.

They probably see that performance/results over the calendar year don’t decide promotion and relegation and believe there’s still 27 games to get 28 points from while the team is still holding onto their tools for AC (it’s too late for me to rephrase that) since it was ultimately the players downing tools late last season that cost DC his job (according to our DoF in last week’s interview) on the back of 2 wins in 18.

As business folk they may pay more attention to and get twitchy by the drop in revenue from gate receipts if attendances slide but that may be forgotten too if we somehow pull a win out of the hat next Tuesday.
