Whatever you think of Flitcroft, the Valiant is a ludicrously good bargain.

For the record I don’t have a axe to grind with Flitcroft.  Some good things going on at the club but obviously everyone will look to the results on the pitch, which is fair enough.  The point I was making is that as an ex-football manager a lot of what he says is just to placate the fans, and the way Flitcroft says it is “wordy” to say the least.

In terms of the Valiant and your tenner it depends on what you want and need to know.  Also, I still don’t see it as a positive that the local rag have zero Vale coverage.

Tenner subscription is ok. Why shouldn't Baggers make a few quid, while keeping up his loyal coverage of the Vale.

The Sentinel / Reach media make the profit. But it does keep Baggers in gainful employment on a full time job reporting on the Vale, which is great

id be at the front of any protest to get him gone. he can take crosby with him. theyre clueless.

Better training facilities, better pitch, better academy (plus I dare say he has to deal with a shed load of admin everyday). Few seem willing to acknowledge that these are also things that flitcroft is overseeing and as far as I can tell are progressing well. For once we have owners who see the importance in building the foundations for the long term but they're up against fans who judge things game by game and want success here and now.

We are not far off being mid table and that is pretty much where I expected us to be this season. We have injured players coming back. Every chance of making history in the League cup and a good chance of progressing into the 3rd round of the fa cup.

Ok, we are in a bad run, the striker situation is frustrating and I would agree that this January is last chance saloon in terms of striker recruitment but I'm pretty sure flitcroft and the recruitment team don't need reminding of this by fans' sarcastic replies every time Vale put out a tweet.

Crosby knows he's under pressure and if results don't pick up then he will be shown the door; but I really don't see how getting rid of someone who takes a lot of the day to day pressure off the manager (whoever that is) benefits anyone.

Tbf the gaffer looked exhausted in his post match last night. I'm glad he got a result, and I'm not bothered HOW we got it. I hope we can get one against Wigan to ease the pressure on him a bit more, then we will be in a much much better place. Wigan is a big game, as a loss for them will drag them down the table a bit, a win for us and we creep up the table abit.
