The objectives with Arblaster are that he was not yet good enough to get into Sheffield Utd first team squad. Sheffield United are currently bottom of the Premier League after 11 games which is 29% of the season. They're in a battle with 3 other teams to stay up and therefore have a 75% chance of being relegated.

Arblaster looks like he could play and may well play at Championship level next season. Therefore it will be very interesting to see how he does v Middlesbrough. If our manager picks him.

Coming back to whether this game at Wrexham matters. When there are 7,870 fans in the stadium, it matters! It's not a trivial game.

Wrexham have been out of the league for so long that they don’t realise the damage that was made when it was decided the Premier league clubs could put out their youngsters. Also, 90% of current Wrexham fans were not bothered about football until their takeover, they often struggled to get 1,000 supporters to watch them when they were last in the league. They say we only went to see Wrexham, they only went to see Reynolds.

He is far from it. For example, Rico Lewis is younger at 18 and can play as RB or anywhere in midfield. If Arblaster was the best central midfielder in the country at his age (which he isn’t) he would not be playing in division 1.

So an 18 year old player is a better 19 year old player than a 19 year old one? 😱

I think the point that he's trying to make is that saying that its absurd to suggest that Arblaster is the best english midfielder at his age in the country.

By saying he is the best English midfielder, the original poster is also saying that Arblaster is better than Jude Bellingham.

And Jude Bellingham, who is only 10 months older than Arblaster

When Wrexham fell out of the league they certainly went through a bad time. That includes one of the main stands being closed as unsafe and the ground becoming delapidated. An advanced stage of where Port Vale was headed under previous ownership.

However, before this time Wrexham was a vibrant well supported club and they have now returned to their normal level of support. Most of my experience of Wrexham has not been at Port Vale but at Tranmere - a local derby really. They were most definitely able to completely fill the Cowshed at Prenton Park with 2500 fans for important games in the 1990s between the two clubs.  When the Welsh cross the border there is always a bit of tension as well.

We keep talking about and we have been since he arrived at the end of August once he gets his fitness… how long does it take?

The jury remains out for me on Loft, I’ve seen nothing YET, to suggest he’ll offer anything when playing, in any game.

He must be thinking it himself, surely? He’s performing like he is extremely low on confidence and playing him, is making absolutely zero difference, the club need to support him in other ways if it is confidence, mindset in case he gets injured again??? Something isn’t right, he’s been awful so far.

Or just lack of quality ? Is there anything better to come from him and totally agree on seeing nothing to hint there is a decent striker in there. Uche looks the better of the 2 and puts himself around more. Dont think either are/ will be prolific strikers , they cost money and the January transfer window proved that money isnt there to be spent.

Their current support is well above their normal support, their highest ever average attendance was less than 13000 and averaged less than 3000 this century when they were a league club. They have more supporters now than they ever have and they have been a second tier club.
