Yeah that’s a good point when looking at the relegation battle. Exeter and Carlisle have improved but Reading and Fleetwood are weaker. I would have like him here but if Wrexham are interested then that ends that. 

The Burke rumour would be nice if true although would see us changing the way we play so I can’t see it myself.

    If we could guarantee a season long loan, where all the work we did with Arblaster and Devine would now push us on in the 2nd half of the season, it would be really useful. But that threat of recall and having to have one eye on other options constantly puts the management under huge extra pressure and weakens our season.

    Interesting rumours, if there's anything in them is doubtful, but you have to laugh!  Strikers needed desparately, first rumours of the day Vale linked with a CB and a RW🤯🤣

    Burke would be an odd one, on loan I assume from my second team SV Werder Bremen but been at Birmingham City this season.

    Scored the winner in a mental game for Bremen where they came from 2-0 down with a couple of minutes to go to beat Dortmund 2-3 in their own backyard and never really got a look in again.

    Went to school in the town I am from in Leicestershire and my sister knows him so will have to do some digging on that one.

    The Burke move seems wrong on so many levels...

    • He's mainly a winger which we don't play
    • The club have said they won't pay over the odds yet presumably he would be on huge wages with presumably Vale expected to meet some of them
    • He's a loanee but we can only have five in the squad. If we get him that means we only have room for one more (and we are supposedly targeting a striker and a LWB - i.e. two more)
    • We could get more loans but then you'd have to start leaving some out of the squad. That goes against the idea of gaining favour from big clubs by taking on talented young kids on loan and playing them

    Hearing rumours that Williams is heading back to Liverpool due to his injury issues; don't know how true that is but just heared it.  Also hear there's some Polish lad from either Barnsley or Shef U who's coming in, a defender.  Again - only a rumour.

    If that’s true, it makes a complete mockery of whoever is completing our medicals
