    Yeah true. It seems a pretty typical window for us really. Not good by any means but if all three are decent it probably would have been enough. After all Uche getting injured was a bit of a shock.

    That makes it looks like a farm that we only get the basic benefit out of. Take our player, have him go from largely incompetent to pretty decent over a space of 2 months, then we'll take them back when you've enjoyed a few games of reaping the developmental awards, only to send them somewhere higher. Meanwhile, you start again but half way through the season.

    We were selling Uche so there must have been a plan before his injury. We needed a striker even with him fit, I’ll be very disappointed if this isn’t addressed today.

    My issue exactly with what we are doing at the moment. Developing other sides players and constantly going back to square 1 ourselves when they leave

    Sorry, I don’t see any particular long term plan on the pitch.

    Apparently the long-term plan is that the Premier League youngsters on loan will end up not being necessary as we will be producing similar level talent from our own academy.

    So if you want to imagine it on the pitch then just picture Gore and Weir as our own players.

    I know it's a bit rubbish to be thinking about other teams losing players rather than Vale adding them, but that's good news I reckon. Reading have sold another player too, so those two teams look weaker after this window.
