Didn't play a single game at Aberdeen.

That was a warning sign in itself surely.

It would set alarm bells off.

Weren’t there stories of him having a poor attitude and turning up late for training at Aberdeen?

It’s massive, now more than ever, that we somehow bring a few decent players in and then we win at Fleetwood on Saturday.

Otherwise I can see it turning toxic at Fleetwood. I can already sense murmurs of fans frustrations.

Surely Liverpool have some blame in this. What is their medical team doing in allowing a player to move who clearly isn't fit to play football matches.

Not a chance. This is Flitcroft laziness all over. Calls Liverpool “got any free players we can stick in our team”?

Liverpool: “Yeah sure have Reece Williams, just come back from Aberdeen, not injured at all”

Flitcroft: “Cheers, don’t know who he is really, or seen him play, as he hasn’t since he was at Aberdeen. These YouTube clips I am looking at on my work MacBook look fabulous and should shut up our mugs…I mean fans from wondering where new players are!”

He never managed to play a game during his loan at Aberdeen either.

He played for the unofficial B team in the Scottish Challenge Cup

That is absolutely shambolic.

What on Earth has happened?

Could tonight/  tomorrow be as good as this great day ?

We are in big big trouble

I think we’re that desperate we take anyone. Debrah and Uche failed medicals at other league 1 clubs this season and now this. DF needs to go

68 games ?

Wilson 19, Massey 32, Uche 17.

He had maths lessons off Devine Intervention/Breadwinner 😍😍😍😍

You had a common sense lesson off a cabbage.

I think by games he means appearances. I think it's bit unfair to lump Massey in there though. He's played out of position upfront and then a lot of his appearances have been at wingback.

If you make it Loft, Ikpeazu and Wilson, for instance, then it's five League goals in 42 appearances.

Thanks Rob, shocking that even with 42 appearances between them. Even more shocking that I actually thought that Vale fans were smart enough to work out that the appearances were combined seeing as we don't play 68 games in a season, never mind half of one. 😀

A manager that would of been sacked months ago if he had been anywhere else. And a depleted squad with no wing backs and desperate need of striker. But look on the brightside were building a campus in 2034

I think we may never know.

Either:

1) He picked up or was discovered to have some injury issue whilst with us. Maybe a scan picked something up from a niggle he's been carrying.

2) "personal issues"

Explaining Williams' spell at Aberdeen (where he failed to make a League appearance) their manager said "Rhys came up injured and has struggled." Was that not a bit of a red flag?

Just to reiterate its 1pm on deadline day . Why is nobody through the door yet? This is getting beyond ridiculous

Surely Carol looks at this and thinks what the **** , doesn't take a football genius to realise this is a complete and utter joke. We've gone from what you'd assume is a process and you could tell perhaps the calibre of player we were after earlier in the regime I.e our play off promotion season to throwing sh** at the wall and hoping it sticks.

There's no criteria to any of our signings and we've not only not addressed KEY signings I.e wingback and a striker but we've now AGAIN shown regression in other departments of our squad.

Ultimately here,  the blame falls on Flitcroft. But I also think Carol needs to be asking the question of how long can this carry on for for me the club needs a complete restructure in the playing and recruiting staff. Yet again feeding off the scraps that no other club seems to want.

Nowhere near acceptable.
