Granted permission to speak to other clubs? That’s him off then. The January strengthening appears to be underway as usual. Given that Charlton have just bought Clarke Harris, I hope Uche has a nice warm coat, as he won’t be getting off their bench much. 
 

I just hope we are not that stupid, unless there is another class, proven striker lined up. Uche has impressed me recently and I’d be pleased if he extended.

That JCH move fell through as they couldn’t agree personal terms. We couldn’t move Loft on unfortunately as he’s played for two clubs this season.

Clarke-Harris didn't sign in the end, they couldnt agree wages.

Strange decision for me but if we do let him go and he goes Wycombe I will like to think we would have the sense not to allow it until next week and not repeat the Anthony Grant situation where he is playing against us days after leaving.

I would hope we have 2 forwards lined up and signed for definite before we let him go

I guess it all depends on a fee. If we could sign the Jake Young from Bradford with the money it might make business sense. Would Charlton pay 400 or 500k for Uche; I doubt it but it's possible.  Uche is pretty unique in terms of his strengths.  We certainly won't get a like for like replacement.

This sounds like they've both spoken to Uche or his agent and Uche has said he'd like to go; IF thats the case and considering we've only got him for another 6 months, we should take a hard-headed approach and get every penny we can for him.

I know he causes problems for defences but lets be honest, he's not a great 'footballer'

If we could stick a good price on his head and get it I'd gladly see him go then use the money to find a better replacement.  He's cost us nowt

Won’t get much though for someone with 6m left on his contract. We have to have a replacement lined up ahead of letting him go. We can’t make the same error for what the 3rd window in the row. Hes apparently on a decent wage, we’ve got him fit and now he will move on. No chance we find a better replacement this window. Step up super Ryan loft

Any team offering Uche say a 2 year deal is more inviting than our 6 month contract. Perhaps he's trying to force a longer deal with us and who could blame him if that's the case

They won’t pay 400 to 500k for Uche! They got Clarke Harris for 580k! If they offer anymore than 50k, I would be stunned.

I didn’t actually know that, it was all in the papers about JCH.
