I'm astonished that DC thinks we played well.

I completely agree with you. I thought we had the better chances (hitting the bar and the offside) but didn't dominate. There were also so many unforced errors in the second-half particularly - balls overhit, mis-controlling balls and conceding throw-ins etc.

The one that hit the bar was one of those that was never going in.

What seems to of been overlooked as well by posters saying that we could of won 3-0 , was that their player inexplicably missed the ball with pretty much an open goal from 8 yards.

To me we had all the possession and huffed and puffed. For DC to class that as playing well is definitely not my idea of playing well.

Not sure why DC and Pett with their comments think we were so dominant. Having the ball and nothing nothing with it for 90 minutes is not dominance

Morecambe didn't have the ball and didn't do anything with it either, their Expected goals were below 0.3 and ours was above 0.8, we just made a defensive mistake,

It was my opinion at the stadium that we were dominant also

If anything, that summing up from DC is a bit worrying I think.

Fits with this "nothing can be criticised" ethos we seem to maintain.

Feels a bit sleepy at the moment.

Yeh certainly the buzz from the start of the season has certainly disappeared.

Clarke seems to have lost something ?
He seems like a manager who is totally fed up with the current situation at the club.

The state of the pitch, inconsistency of his players and dare I say it, some of the decisions of the owner and the criticism of some of the fans.

Definitely isn't the DC we know at the moment is he?

I didn't think there was too much in the Portsmouth stuff, but somethings off I think.

Certainly seems fed up to me.

I think he expected better in the transfer window.

Above 0.8 does not show that we dominated. Whether you were at the stadium or watching at home like I did is irrelevant. Neither side did enough to win the game we just have a keeper that can’t stop shots. We were the better of the sides but certainly not dominant.

Yeh I feel he hasn’t had the backing of the owner he perhaps expected and the recruitment or lack of In January has dampened his enthusiasm which is a shame, he has certainly been left with a limited fit squad which in turn as affected performances and/ or results.

Let’s hope we can soon reach the 50 point mark and then he might experiment a bit more with his formation and include the likes of McDermott and Plant.

That would keep the crowds more interested for the last few fixtures.
