Personally I would keep Richards, Loft, Boom, Griff, Rigg, Dodds.

 

Not fussed by anyone else if truth be told. Marshall and Shuker might force their way onto the list.

the key issue is look at Rochdale, Chesterfield and Wycombe, all better than our squad is easily, all looking like they may be coming back down League 1 is a big step up it would seem

 

But Bury and Stevenage with no fanbase to speak of and whom were certainly no better than Vale last season have survived comfortably.

 

Its impossible to say how Vale would have fared had Adams stayed last season and Vale been promoted.

My keeps list would be McCombe, Loft, Pope, Griff, Dodds (a popular choice) Richards, Shuker and a fit Owen. The rest I would ship out including the ever so popular Marshall. I really dont get it with his fan club. Yes he has a good left foot for free kicks and corners but in actual play he looks very clumsy and his right foot is a wooden un I think. Kris Taylor had a sweet left peg but Ado soon got rid didn't he?. Sorry but you cant select a guy on his set piece ability alone.

Griff has been quiet the last two games, but I think the reason is, he's on 9 bookings(I Think)

 

Could we afford to lose him at this point?

 

I think he is being sensible, letting Marshall + Shuker do all the work and just sitting in front of the back 4

Harsh but true, in todays game you need to offer so much more than a tackle. Griff has great heart but frankly will never be more than a l2 bottom end l1 player.
