I agree around 10 members of staff - and they obviously would only be 12 months, 18 months max.

Then we can overhaul if/when we gain promotion :D

A very good point a short term contract with an option......There are plenty of players out there looking for Clubs..........The Clubs should be dictating the odds these days.

If and when this admin situation is sorted and if you were Micky Adams or even a new Manager.......Who out of our playing Staff and backroom staff would you offer a new contract to........

IMHO........NOT many.

in my opinion goodbye GREW despise that man and the way good keepers become total pap under his watch, he is asociated with failure at VP for me, id sooner have a young keeper and bring in mussy Coach/bench and loan a keeper if we come stuck, of the squad id like to see Rico, Boom, Loft and Griff stay as the spine of the squad and maybe hang onto the likes of page in the coaching dept, for me this is a chance for change in all areas of the squad weve had the bad, were facing the ugly now lets keep the good.

Given you haven't been attending matches surely your opinion on the current players is irrelevant?

Prior to admin vales players were easily on course for the play-off's suggesting the majority are good league 2 players, obviously with the odd exception a fact I'd agree with.

Therefore trying keep the majority for next season would have been the key for me.

average league 2 players

the key issue is look at Rochdale, Chesterfield and Wycombe, all better than our squad is easily, all looking like they may be coming back down League 1 is a big step up it would seem

I've missed 3 games all season so my post stands!!

We weren't EASILY on course for the play-offs as we hadn't been in them for months. ;)

Time to move forward after the last 4 years in this league.

Exactly, Chesterfield were light-years ahead of us last season but have barely been out of the relegation zone in league 1 this season.

Depends on budget and wages but:

Griff, Loft, McCombe, McDonald, Marshall, Shuker, Williamson, Richards, Pope, Taylor.

At league 2 level there isn't that much wrong with the rest, but in order to get promotion and survive in league 1 we need to bring in some players with the clear ability to perform at that level or higher.

Good enough for league 1:-

Doug Loft

Marc Richards

Good enough to get us up from LG2(Some as squad players):-

Anthony Griffith

John McCombe

Chirs Shuker

Paul Marshall

Louis Dodds

Sean Rigg(Possibly could make it lg1 as squad player)

Stuart Tomlinson(Backup keeper)

Ben Williamson

Clayton McDonald

That is probably it for me, that would give us 11 players to start a league two season with. The rest for me are either not good enough or just don't perform consistently enough to get us in the top 3.
