I enjoyed a number of Jeff's books and still have copies of most of them.

 

Having said that, his support for 24.9% and his V-sign wind up means I won't be buying any more of his books.

 

You have to careful sometimes who and what you support - Jeff will have realised that now.

His Winston Churchill "V" sign will live long in my memory. Sorry.

 

It's sad but that is what he will be remembered for.

Best to move on now though and welcome him into the fold,is he a member of the supporters club?

Personally, I'm much more ready to forgive an ill-considered, spur of the moment gesture, than I am to forgive 9 years of incompetent financial management.

I for one was annoyed at his antics but like Dave Felstead and others i think they should be respected for their efforts in backing Vale in all other areas's in the past........Its time now to all get together and bury the hatchet and unite as Vale fans again.

 

I suppose it would not go a miss if certain individuals would come out and speak in their support of their hopes for our future. ;)

One would hope that the 'Wizard' has now learned his lesson. A useless monologue about the failings of the 1906/7 season did no-one any favours at the EGM, least of all himself. My advice would be "Keep Calm and Have A Shave"

I spoke to Jeff Kent on Saturday and he told me that he has taken his books back after the club owed him quite and ammount of money. He realises now that he has lost his money and just what a rotten lot MOLD are. I am sure that many will have little sympathy for Jeff's plight but there is no doubt that he is a genuine Vale fan and though he had a different (misguided)opinion at the club's last EGM he certainly didn't deserve to be 'robbed' by the club who actually commissioned the book.:(

Sorry Jeff but some lessons can be very painful. That shouldn't stop fans from buying a copy as his earlier books are a good read.

 

He should have listened the most of the shareholders at the EGM last summer,
