MOLD do the Dirty on Jeff Kent

I would particularly enjoy reading the chapter 'Fan-Owned Clubs Don't Work'

That's probably a chapter he wouldn't write, Simon.....he has very clear political views on ownership, whether right or wrong........and while you're at it, try telling that to AFC Wimbledon........and Chester......

It's not fan-ownership per se that doesn't work, it's the way that V2001 did it.....AFC Wimbledon are an example to everyone about how it should be done....

That being said, I'm not personally suggesting we try it again!!!!!!

Jeff was far from the only one who voted to keep the 24.9% rule. There were considerably more shares rejecting the change than those simply held by the Board at the time. Jeff's problem is that he actually said publicly what he was doing and gave his reasons for it rather than keep his gob shut and support the 24.9% like a number of other shareholders I could name.

But that doesnt change the fact that his vote helped to create the problem that lost him his money. And to top it off he rubbed it in people's faces. I'm not saying he should be abused, but I am asking why on earth should we feel sorry for him now. This is Jeff's 'victory' and he is welcome to it.

Thanks , Magic flask for restoring my faith in humanity. There are far too many vindictive and destructive posters on this site. Vale need all the supporters they can get, even the ones whose views don't agree with yours. Much of the problem with the old board was that they sought to divide and rule.

Didn't a big part of his argument rest on the fact that we had only gone into admin under a sole owner? The last few weeks kind of dump on that argument. It also answers the 'who was worse/better' argument...V2001 or Bell.

I think they were equally culpable - and I don't agree with his world view when it comes to football clubs....that being said, I think we had better times under Bill Bell than V2001, but he created the problems - the financial disasters which were what V2001 had to try to repair - and didn't ever really get their head above water......

and music, don't forget that.....I bought one of his Vale song tapes once......that was seriously bad......

**** yeah, I had a tape too. Fortunately about ten years ago my flat wad burgled and the only thing they got away with before the dogs had their legs was a cheap tape player with a jeff Kent tape in. Justice!

Now that IS justice.....I think I dropped mine off at a jumble sale, either that or I left it behind when my marriage split.....

The only thing I have ever been able to compare it to is a 1920s recording of the Red Army choir singing songs about chopping down silver birch trees for pleasure (no, I didn't get the concept either) and even they had better tunes..........maybe he could write a song for MOLD to pay them back .......

In all fairness both those clubs will not go any further than we are and also they were started from scratch and not established league clubs. I am afriad a set up like vale a fan owned club was always going to fail. Please, please do not compare us to Barcelona either.

As for the posters who asked if he is still against sole ownership of the Vale, the answer is Yes - he has a political view on the subject, and the fact that V2001 failed is neither here nor there in whether sole ownership is or is not better then what was being proposed.

Methinks that he better get used to sole mownership
