Stoke fans attending VP

If they want to support the vale, fine. Pay on the gate and watch the game and leave. Do not turn up in a stoke top with a beaming smile acting like you've just done something wonderful for charity.

Agreed.

Come if you want, but don't wear your top! I really don't understand why you want to help though. We're rivals and our derbies are one of the fiercest in the country. We hate eachother, dunna patronise us by thinking of us as your little neighbours who need saving.

There's rivalry between the two sets of supporters, just deal with it. I've read many comments from friends & family on FB from Stokies, basically saying they can't wait for VP to be demolished and lapping up the situation in general. Each to their own...

If Vale is worth keeping, then Vale supporters should do enough to keep it. If you need Stoke fans help, then what chance does the club have in the future?

Once this board have gone, then I'll put my money where my mouth is and spend, spend, spend..

Very good point.

I offerd it to recognise the empathy that he was showing, and to wind up the idiots on here who would rather see Vale go down the tubes than sit with a Stoke fan. some people are just so small minded they shouldn't be allowed out of the house.

If we start being friendly with them, then that is another great loss to our beloved game.

We don't want to be seen like West Ham see dagenham, because its pathetic.

How can we be rivals when their 3 leagues above us? Your living in the past, we're in completely different worlds now.

Can we not put our rivalry aside for one chuffin game! IMHO I would like to see at least the 91 other league clubs represented at Vale Park, not forgetting our friends from outside the league

I'll be down for this one - should I wear a Rangers, Celtic or Brora Rangers top?

If you want to help VALE then get your hand in YOUR pocket. This goes for all you recent apparent Stoke loving Vale fans...

I bet you lot don't live local

I really think some people are missing the point!

The Stoke fans who've said they would come along haven't said that they're helping financially....it's a show of support against our 'Board'!!! Football fans united against adversity. By wearing their Stoke shirts they're showing that whatever team you support, you're sympathetic to the situation at the Club.

Some people who've posted on here need to take a long look at themselves and decide whether they're even grown up enough to be at a football match without their parents, in my opinion of course!

If you don't agree then by all means say so but some of the pathetic language used is exactly that...pathetic. I feel sorry for anyone that can't articulate their thoughts any better than that. Unfortunately it's fans like this that would go all out to cause trouble.

For my part I think it's a great gesture and thank them for it.
