We've worked tremendously hard this second half and we aren't playing for anything!

Half of them are playing for a job.

Just shows a "Few" wins breeds confidence and confidence breeds good results is very true. Well done Vale.

Conlon's overall performance tonight was superb.

What an utter shower of twots they were.....horrible, horrible "football" team. Well done Vale for totally bossing them and not lying down.

I've given Scott Quigley a little reminder on twitter about his "classy" tweet after they won at VP. Christ, I'd liek to see us put 6 past that pub team next season at home.

If that's the way they play it's probably been a blessing that they haven't had to go and watch.

You ever been Barrow, Jacko? That's entertainment up there....at the end of Britain's biggest cul-de-sac!

Really? Homophobic comments are what you're resorting to? Is that even allowed on this forum?

Really? Why on earth is quoting a comment made by a Vale player not allowed?

I genuinely feel sorry for fans of the Super Six tonight.

Their clubs are in the process of global humiliation. Meanwhile in the meaningless football pyramid we’ve just witnessed a lad discarded by Stevenage, born in our city, and whose great grandad and great great grandad played for the club, score an absolute wonder goal and score both goals to win the game.

They will never know how that feels and what that means.

The beautiful game at its very best.

Viva the beautiful game and viva Port Vale.

Another very good win. Solid defensively throughout from the off and even when we made the changes too. I think the managers mind could well be made up on some of them. Thought burgess did well, couldn’t fault his effort. All 3 centre halves did well again. Nice to see Gibbo bombing on second half. Conlon fantastic. Pope got some minutes under his belt and arguably gave us more physicality than Guthrie did. Worrall did a steady job for us, less so going forward but disciplined enough to help us get the clean sheet. Strange to see that the only thing Phil can take away from that performance is to slate Pope, it is a proper obsession mate that you have to mention him in some way, not sure I see the point of it other than dragging threads down. Barrow were truly a horrible side,  I thought the ref was going to lose control early doors. Quigley was terrible for us, he looked light weight and unable to put himself about it make an impact and rightly we got rid. Tonight he was at it from the off trying to put one on our centre halves and the diving was a disgrace. Pleased he got nothing out of the game and no change from our lads.

Pleased as punch, proud as a peacock! So much positivity, well done DC and staff.

I am usually a one eye looking back pessimist, but I can’t see any future but Darrell holding a Vale scarf in one hand and the League 2 trophy in the other. Come on Vale. The good times are back!

Nice job DC

And that’s the closest they’ll be to us for years now they have sold their only remaining pot of gold for a pittance.

Inspiring move to put Conlon as captain, because he’s much more likely to sign an extension with that extra responsibility and trust.

You ever been Barrow, Jacko? That's entertainment up there....at the end of Britain's biggest cul-de-sac!

It’s certainly a dead end

Super league?

Super Vale!
