If the team that played the last 20 minutes is on the pitch from now until the end of the season we have a very good chance of reaching the playoffs. If the team that was on the pitch for the first 70 minutes represents us, we are not overhauling Oxford amongst others.

Let's be fair, at the moment we are looking at 7th, and 7th only. A number of clubs in and around us have a similar viewpoint.

Our 'team' may not be the best of this bunch, but we may be the most resilient, if we can avoid admin we have as much chance (if we can keep these loans signings for a while longer) as anyone of those teams.

We also have Micky Adams and he may just be the difference .

Spot on!The team looked impressive and the service given to Marc Richards was excellent,something thats been missing for months.Marc looked the part after the sustititutions, so fair play to MA .Loft was always giving quality crosses from down the right hand side,sadly lacking from Yates in previous games.Keep it up Vale:clap:

The first objective must be to aim for 7th , once (or if) we get there then we look at the next step and try to make up ground on the top 6. Teams are in the top 6 because they havent dropped many points and probably 5 of them wont from here on in. But there will be one of them that cracks , for whatever reason, like we did last year.

Just take it one step at a time and , of course, keep collecting points. Looking at 6th and above before we've reached 7th will serve no purpose.

We all know the financial s**t heap we are in, but until admin comes (if it does come this season or next) let us ride the rollercoaster of a ride that is and always will be supporting the Vale. The lads are doing it on the pitch and no matter what players say the rumours must be at the back of their mind. Mickey is doing an unbelieveable job with the resources he is given.

 

lets back the lads, shun the board and enjoy the ride. 7th place here we come.

I was abit miffed by he subbed Williamson off tho, as I would of taken dodds off... But it paid off so fair play

 

I like Williamson, i think he has potential. However, at the moment he never looks like scoring and doesn't bring enough to the team through the rest of his place, ala Pope, to warrent a first place in my opinion.

I think with the remaining fixtures we have a great chance of sneaking 7th, I think the most important thing is that we put a good set of results together; as we have started to. The big worry still is if Richards gets injured, then there will be a big struggle for goals, the 3 new signings have massively strengthened the side, and really improve the depth of the squad. Looking at the games there is a decent chance, just have to beat the likes of Oxford which could be a quality game last of the season.
