Just my opinion, not a qualified one, but if today is deadline day then i would have thought the time includes up to midnight tonight.

The letter was sent on Jan26.If they are counting Jan 27 as day 1(day of receipt)Then the 21 days were up this morning.Disrespectful tastards.

That's what I'm thinking. Then add to that today is not a working day so it might be Monday before they tell us.

What happens if the SC set a date, time, venue and the club say that they can't make it?

They might have a genuine case that they need to be elsewhere.Who would pay any fine the club or the directors?

Could the SC be paid compensation?

The club don't have to be there as far as I understand.

How i see it is , the club have failed to meet a legal deadline so the sc club can now set a time and agenda to suit themselves, if the board dont like it, or its not convenient, tough.

If they cant make it they cant make it, and more importantly, cant vote. I am of course thinking they will forget to give someone their proxy, or don't trust each other enough to give their proxy to be potentially used to vote against themselves.

At least if the SC call it the shots the EGM might be at a time and day most people can make. May I recommend a Friday evening, so we can go the pub after to celebrate?

Correct Conrad, how much time do they need? And when have the directors ever bothered to agree with the shareholders a time and place for any meetings?Does the EGM now have to be in 4 weeks or could it be next week for instance?:shifty:

SC. let's get that EGM called ASAP. I understand that there are a lot of moving parts but the fact that the club have failed to meet a legal deadline the cards are now in our favour and we should strike whilst the iron is hot so to speak, giving them less time to strike up anymore rediculous, slimmy, underhand tactics, at a time of our choosing.

I am wondering if they know their time is up, and are letting the SC call the shots and spend money, knowing that by the time the SC call the time & place, the AGM will have passed and they will no longer be in a position to do anything. OR am l just dreaming?

Easy solution, the SC just hold the EGM prior to the AGM. Then it is the SC totally in control.

Again, just how i understand it, it could be called any time, even as early as next week, but obviously the sc would need to allow people reasonable time to make arrangments to get time off work etc.
