I held out my hand in freindship to dave at macc and wished him and his wife well, I disagree with his views post egm but I could never blank the guy, his big mistake was to meet the board alone and to think getting rid of bratt was the end game in my opinion

 

I hope he can return to the forum and SC soon

 

I think his big mistake was to get carried away by the influence he thought he carried. And this goes for a couple of other people too. But forgive and forget.

I agree. My whole point was that instead of whispering and gossiping about Dave, lets welcome him back as he's one more that can help us drive these *******s out!

 

i agree. I was nt whispering or talking behind someones back. He was always very polite in person. And i agree with birdy we should always extend a hand. I wonder if that would be extended to old board if push came to shove. We are in difficult times. But back to dave i was disappointed in the comments in my previous post plus the revelation that he was talking to mark simms about becoming a director while supporting the current regime and of course that the supporters club didnt know what he was doing. I understand that he is vale through and through but sometimes vanity can take hold of any of us at any point.

Dave F is a good bloke and Vale through and through. He was misled and must feel devastated. I for one would welcome him back in a second and possibly spill the beans on how he was misled.

I have respect for Dave but i must say it became less with the way he was saying we should vote Deakin in and if we didnt it was a vote for Bratt.

He was VERY vocal in the persuasion of getting Miller and Deakin on the board and when it all went **** up he never came on here and held his hands up.

 

Just disappointed me slightly.

Good bloke took responsibility, made a mistake but any change involves risk and he showed leadership.

I agree with Bede, what a lot of you didn't see is how Dave went about HIS business behind the scenes, sometimes in total disregard to the collective view. This has happened behind the scenes up until last week. Dave appears to have had an epiphany of sorts and has started to eat a bit if humble pie it would seem.

 

Dave is a passionate Vale fan there is no doubt, but Dave owes a lot of people a simple apology before we can all unite and move forward IMHO.
