Administration-A quick question.

Just a quick question here, but hyperthetically speaking if Mo was waiting in the wings waiting to come straight in should we enter admin, how long would it take for him to become our new owner and take us out of control of the administrators? What is the timescale with this sort of thing?

Think of this another way. The administrator acts in the interest of the creditors. Hence Stockport County were in administration for the maximum two years before the club has to lose its league status. They played their last ever game at the end of the season v Tranmere! Then they got rescued at the last minute - if that is what their current position is with Gannon in charge and bottom of the conference.

Lets look at Portsmouth, they were in the last hours of existence at the High Court before they were rescued from their debts including HMRC.

Lets look at Plymouth ........

Not the way to go.

I can't see anyone wanting to come in without admin. Without admin we are lumbered with all the same rules, the same larger shareholders, long term non profitable contracts etc. Admin wipes the slate clean for any new owners trouble is no one is guaranteed to gain ownership via admin.

For every Plymouth there is a Hull, a Bournemouth or a Middlesborough etc. Clubs who came out of admin and prospered.

The administrator has to make contact with all the creditors and establish the true extent of the debt. That takes time usually. Whilst at the same time keeping the business going.

At the same time, they either have to find a buyer who will take over the business as a going concern, or sell off the assets of the business in order to get as much back for the creditors as possible.

Hardly a ringing endorsement--not one of these is exactly in the upper regions of the league pyramid!

Hull went from the fourth division to the premiership, middlesboro did similarly and bournemouth are in the league above us and have wealthy new owners. Your right I'd much prefer to be Vale!

what????????? what league are hull and boro in? have they got decent grounds and decent players?

admin is the only suitable solution to vales current plight i'm afraid as the current board will never do the right thing by the club and have saddled us with rediculous contracts and debt

I do fear though - If we we're to enter administration we have a few good players that could well be sold for a fee (Albeit small-ish)

Points deduction MINUS our better players = A huge relegation threat!

In fairness there aren't many teams who would want our players! Marc Richards and Lee Collins would be the obvious two who could be sold for a bit of money.
