Administration-A quick question.

If we go in to admin the club will get a boost from rising attendances as most people will go back and pay on the day.Up to 3000 extra on the gate at 20quid a throw

Really?? Mondays gate was 4600 + this extra 3000...When was the last time we averaged 7600, probably the last time we were in the Championship.... Lets get real eh!!

Also all these comparisons against other clubs that have been into admin is completely irrelevant, it depends who purchases the club out of admin and most of the time that depends on the potential of the club...

So whats our potential, really? Seeing as we couldnt average over 9000 in our heyday in the 90's and that was with Sjoke below us in the league...

Admin is not the answer, it could result in relegation or worse liquidation, as well as problems for local businesses (creditors) redundancies for staff, lets think about the bigger picture and hope that this lot in charge do also and sell the club to the best option...

Wishing Administration is irresponsible to the club, its staff, the local community, the fans, the football league... So again...lets get real..!!!

Just a quick question here, but hyperthetically speaking if Mo was waiting in the wings waiting to come straight in should we enter admin, how long would it take for him to become our new owner and take us out of control of the administrators? What is the timescale with this sort of thing?

Mo was interested the last time we went in to admin and look what happened!!!.....

Unfortunately' date=' yes they were the preferred choice. Which only goes to show that even administrators can be completely wrong![/quote']

Under advice from hundreds of fans.....myself included. ;)

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If you recall the Icelanders wanted us to become a regional branch of Stoke City FC and the only way we could be certain of Vale staying out of their hands was by backing V2001.

If only we knew then what we know now. But would it have changed anything?

He was and so were a nice group of Icelanics from up the road. Pushed to price far above what the club was actually worth and we've never recovered from it.

The joke of it is, that the chosen bid ( V2001 ) was one comprised of a package where the club was to be paying back the loan that bought the club. Something similar to the latest £277,000 loan/share fiasco...

How much was it that it went for at the last administration?

How much of this was a loan?

How much of this was from the supporters combined share purchase?

How much £ in shares did the original V2001 board purchase?

Lets look at Portsmouth, they were in the last hours of existence at the High Court before they were rescued from their debts including HMRC.

Lets look at Plymouth ........

Not the way to go.

But , lets look at Southampton - now top of Championship. Middlesbrough 4th

Charlton - top of League 1.

For every bad outcome there's a good one.

QPR

Alternative- carry on with shedloads of debt living from hand to mouth?

Thats my point.

People seem to think that we'll go into admin and Mo will be waiting to save us. Unfortunately that may not happen. He pulled out last time for what were eventually proven to be the right reasons.

When or if he gets to find out the real extent of our debt and the mess the rest of the club is in, he amd MS may feel that as a business we are not viable. I hope I'm wrong!

To be honest, the biggest problem I'd have with administration would be if it put any local small businesses in difficulty. People's livelihoods that don't work for the club are as important as those of people who do and more important than the idea of us having to nose dive, even out of existence, only to inevitably reappear somewhere else to rise from the ashes.

To be fair, anyone extending a line of credit to PVFC should understand the added risk that has. Businesses who deal with vale on a pay as you go basis will be able to deal with the new port vale if they so wish. I would imagine the people who will get stung are people like the council and the bank who have deeper pockets.

The comparisons are given to prove admin isnt always bad. Clubs who were in worse positions gate wise and financially have gone on to prosper after coming out if admin. The current board won't be looking at the current situation rationally or responsibly, I believe Oliver and Lloyd will be looking to recoup their investment which in reality isn't going to happen. The board have brought us to this situation where they may have the decision on admin taken away from them anyway.

You cannot use other clubs experiences of admin to second guess our own outcomes, past debt is irrelevant as Admin clears the debt...

As for Oliver and Lloyd having the decision on admin taken away from them...Who do ya think makes the decision to call in the Administrators? Yes you've guessed it...the directors, so they are the very people who will make the decision...

Also Lloyd, Oliver, etc may or may not want to sell their shares, I dont really care as long as they are not on the board anymore, what I want is for them to grow a pair, admit they are out of their depth, recommend and vote for a change in the articles to enable proper investment into the club, that would be far more responsible way of moving forward....

Just posted this on another thread, but probably better here.

Oliver

Miller

Deakin

Bratt

Jackson

Meigh

They are the ones who have brought us to the position we are at today.

They are the ones who turned down investment opportunity after investment opportunity, including the last one of £1.2m of REAL MONEY.

They are the ones who issued £500,000 worth of nil-paid shares.

It was under their watch that Peter Miller was appointed as chairman with a remuneration package of around £170,000.

It was under their watch that Peter Miller remortgaged the ground to probably pay for his own shares and Deakins.

You are right no fan deserves their club to go into administration.

Personally if the choice is admin or any of the above directors being anywhere near our club then I would choose administration. They simply can't be trusted.

To have any prospect of avoiding admin the directors need to allow a smooth transition of power through an interim board. This must be done via the Supporters Club.

The resolution of the current situation can either be done the easy way, or the hard way. The decision is the directors.

That is: Administration or smooth transition of power.
