As I said before I am tempted to come back to Burslem for this one but at the start of last season, I said to myself I wouldn't attend any games in this tournament. Part of me feelings I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face with this game though.

I get that none of us likes the thought of those twxts thinking they're bossing Burslem for a night but this is more a reflection on them than our support.

It's NOT a Derby and it cheapens it massively to pretend it is.

If Martin Smith told me it was raining I'd go to the nearest window to check, the . It says a lot about The Sentinel that they continue to print the nonsense that comes out of his mouth.

Says a lot about Martin Smith that he continues to write for them, considering the way they humiliated him back in 1999 over his reporting of the Ian Bayley sacking.

Can someone please explain why all of a sudden people are buying tickets to fill the Railway when Lorne Street has always been open but very few bought tickets for there? Crazy! So they are saying I'm not going to this match before because they couldn't originally sit in the Railway? Crazy! Nowt to do with any allegiance to Vale then, nor any scruples about the Competition format, just plain simple crazy I'm not going because I can't get in the Railway? Sums up the situation to me and as I say crazy!

Supply and demand,we limited Sjokes tickets and people bought fast for fear of missing out on the hottest ticket in town.Vale fans did not need to rush out for tickets as we know there will be plenty of seats for us, simples

I think the reaction to giving Stoke the paddock is an embarrassment and Martin Smith isn't far off being wrong. Then you have "Hagrid" who is making out that by us not turning up it will embarrass stoke fans. In what world is being outnumbered at home an embarrassment to the away team? I am done on this forum it is full of some spectacular bell ends and gives the rest of us Valiants a bad name.

Think you miss my point mate. Sales of tickets for Vale fans were very, very low up until recently when it was announced Railway was open. Now everyone appears to want a ticket for there. It looks like fans were not wanting to attend unless they can sit in Railway and I honestly cannot fathom that out.

You'll find that the size of the away support determines the popularity of the Railway Paddock.Bolton a couple of years ago is the perfect example.I worry about what happens at full time if they release both sets of fans at the same time?

I just rang the ticket office to check that I could swop my Lorne Street ticket for my usual area, the Railway Paddock, which you can (as other posters have kindly advised). Apparently,if anyone would like to know, we've now sold about 800 for Lorne Street and 300 for the Paddock.

So basically a turnout that speaks volumes for how bothered the rank-and-file are about this nonsense. Good.
