Can't believe I find myself agreeing with something Blakeman's just said. Great start and looking very good in midfield but we're just lagging behind a little up front. Plan A is Pope knocking flick ons to Whitfield. When you're 5'5 up against big centre halfs he is rarely going to win anything in the air, we need to keep it on the deck.

 

I'll be very happy if we keep up the intensity and pressing for the entire half.

Vale played really well, Legge absolutely immense, had some good possession down Vale's right but Hannant's quality hasn't been there.

 

Credit where credit's due their goal was superb, brilliant skill by their right back and the guy Hamilton gave Brown no chance. Their right back and Hamilton are good players.

IMHO it would have happened anyway with the advent and thirst of cable/satellite pay tv, Scudamore just rode the train. He's obviously done a good job but a bit of perspective is in order.

1-0 at HT but they have had a lot of draws, here`s hoping. They are the last of the top 7 for us to play this year, so easier games ahead.

Again we’re exposed down our left hand side. It’s a pattern. We haven’t played too bad to be fair, we’ve been getting it down and playing through the middle, but we’ve lacked quality in the final third, Hannant for all his hard work really struggles to put a decent ball in. Conlon isn’t a left winger. They are getting the full back overlapping and we don’t have that quality, especially on the right with a centre half there. Like I said not bad but no goal threat, let’s hope it changes second half.
