The system and way Brown was playing him I was correct full credit to aspo for changing the system and full credit to Popey for scoring in the box as we knew he could

 

If I’m wrong I’ll be the first one to hold my hands up matey don’t worry about that

Not Pope's fault ultimately though. The question was should he be dropped. My answer was here and on FB, no we need to play in a way that suits him! If lukaku stops scoring for United because they play in a way that doesn't suit him, should the question be about dropping Pope, or replacing Jose?

Agreed it wasn’t his fault but the way brown was setting up it was no good for vale and no good for pope he was made to look slow and clueless I thought the way it was at the time we needed Barnett and turner/Pyke and bring Popey on as impact later on a bit like sjoke use crouch

I was thinking what was best to try and get us out the mire that’s all but to be honest my title of thread was not the best atall worded it totally unfairly

He’s proving me wrong now though I’m glad to say

He's proving quite a few wrong I think. Helped by a rejuvenated midfield. Whitfield looks like a world beater under Aspin and Harness looks 10x the player he was under Brown.

I think we all knew these players had something brown although he bought most of them in couldn’t work it out though that’s why he’ll never be a manager and aspo will
