The Blame

Smurthwaite is definitely to blame. However I think Brown should have been a man, admitted defeat and resigned.

Smurf is the problem here and he is much worse than v2001 or Bell or anyone.

Smurf is the worst thing to happen to PVFC.

Why is considered more 'manly' to surrender and throw the towel in than continue to work as hard as possible, against the odds and against criticism and abuse, to fight and fight and fight to win and put things right ?

He may not get it right, those of us supporting his efforts may be wrong, we are 'man' enough (and woman enough in cases of loyal female fans) to admit it and stand

up and be counted when the club needs support more than ever.

It isn't throwing the towel in, it is admitting you are out done wrong. He never should have had the job in the first place after last season.

He certainly shouldn't have the job now, and for the club to expect Vale Fans support this NOPE.

A few people will. That's what I have found shocking about Port Vale some fans will really take any old crap.

Nobody is accepting the current situation. There are some - many, who have stopped and thought about it and looked at the longer term view rather than just throwthe toys out of the pram when the pram is pushed over a cliff by its' owner.

Those who want Brown sacked and ask for Adkins/Horton or re experienced managers are living in dreamland. If Smurf cannot afford to sack Brown, as alleged this week, do you think he can 'afford' to fund a high-class replacement ? ?Well perhps he can afford it, but HE WONT- not a chance in hell.

Perhaps we may be wrong and Brown may not turn it round -if that happens and he has to go in, say, November I will admit I was wrong.

There is no chance that gobby knowalls who make it a profession to attack Brown hundreds of times will admit they were wrong if he improves things though.

The point is, on the balance of things, he is more likely to get us some sort of mid-table place (not that this is great) with this bunch of players than any alternative that Smurf will fund.

Having gone through this much pain thanks to Smurf - and its been 2 years of pain and more now - grit your teeth, support the team against FGR and for a few more matches and see if it can be turned round. Having said this, if anyone chooses to stay at home then they are entitled to and it does NOT mean they are not real Vale fans. But come back when we start winning again please !

Those who wish for any alternative and say 'anything is better than this' are wrong in my opinion - we could start losing 0-6 and 0-7 and end up adrift if Smurf comes back and runs things with a puppet inexperienced manager.

Doesn't matter how hard he works he is still ****. Garlick has proven himself to be out of touch with fans on this one and quite honestly is talking out of his arse.

Begging to get really ******* angry about the situation at Vale

Let's be realistic.

Garlick is going to say positive things in favour of MB in the press. The CEO of a football club is not going to go on live radio and say "yes the manager is a tôsser, lose on Saturday and I'm sacking him."

It's not the done thing. Garlick is just playing the game as a CEO should.

What is really happening, behind the scenes however, in my opinion, is that MB knows full well that a loss on Saturday will result in contactual termination. They're both just playing the game in public, behind closed doors the situation is more critical.

Are you for real. People like you will get the non league club you deserve.

Nope he should have sacked him by now. Garlick has proved he is not fit for the job.

Hands up those who think Garlick or the puppet Chairman Fradley have the power to sack Michael Brown. For those who raised their arm I say come on and get real, it is the cartoon puppet Papa Smurf who pulls their strings and makes the decisions.

I blame the administrators for not doing there due diligence properly before choosing Norman and Wildes to be the preferred bidders, just thought would throw that one in:ohmy:

On what grounds would they have had to reject them? It's all well and good now, but at the time how could they feasibly have rejected them?

When they first took over things sounded promising. It all went downhill when Exeter happened and Wildes left.
