The Blame

Iron Curtain

Still my thoughts are fans have either-

Got to group together and put proper pressure on Smurf to sell. Banners campaigns, supporters club etc...

Or

Make up with smurf and start a fresh. Welcome him back to games and work with him where possible. Reengage with him and forget the past mistakes.

Doing what people are doing now in that moaning about everything and fling nothing means we have a ****, disengaged owner and **** disengaged fans. We will end up in the conference like this.

I completely agree with you, in the view that its either united, concerted action or we may as well not bother.

However, a vast majority of Vale fans take too little interest in 'off-the-field' issues to ever make anything major occur. We saw this in the 10-11 protests with v2001.

However, I won't be starting a fresh with Smurf and 'forget past mistakes'. He's made some fairly vile comments to lifelong Vale supporters and treated others like rubbish. He's dragged the fans name through the mud with unproven accusations of JFH racism and physical assault (not saying either was a lie, simply innocent until proven guilty). His treatment of Rob Page and besmirching of the club's name on a national level can also be added to the mix.

None of the above is a measure of his incompetence, which is plain to see; simply the sort of bloke that he is, and the sort of bloke I can never 'forget past mistakes'. Its better for my health to not delve into the 'give me my loan back' saga.

If Smurf is settling in for the long-term, I'll probably be done with the Vale. Thats how strongly I feel.

We won't end up in the conference because of the fans.
