Bottom of the league or not just what do the half wits who own Coventry expect to achieve by sacking Russell Slade after only 16 games? Unless they appoint Merlin the Magician they're down, it's obvious their players aren't good enough (a familiar feeling for all fans of struggling teams) and no manager in the world can sort that in 16 games and a one month transfer window with no funds to spend.

 

Football's nuts in how it goes about it business as an industry. I for one believe in long term goals, plans and investment strategy for long term success which is why I want to see Micky Brown get a sensible amount of time and backing to bring success back to Vale Park.

You can't critise him. The situation there is impossible. I firmly believe managers are much the same, it's all about the club having a unity through the fans, board, players and all the staff. Backed by a good chairman most mangers will succeed. Of course there are exceptions , but as a general rule it's about the club players and everyone batting off the same wicket.
