...I'm genuinely interested in the good things...

How's about he keeps putting money into the club to stop us going into administration for a 3rd time? And to those of you who doubt this - who else puts the money in? It certainly isn't the stayaway fans on here who brag about putting money into away club's coffers!

I'd completely disagree Lee Hughes got us promoted, he was sadly a part of it.

Competitive budgets spending it himself? He's signed Forrester only this season and remind me whose mates were resigned in the summer of 2015, they weren't the chairmans, he was raging!

The rest we could argue all day about (Adams was a factor) but some people don't like him and will find a negative in everything he does and give him credit for nothing and others will see the positives and negatives in him.

I'd rather have him than any incarnation of the scum that was v2001 and bringing any aspect of them into it devalues your argument as he's hardly brought the club to its knees and misappropriated innocent and genuine fans money has he?

Typical Vale fan.

Things are ***** but....

He isn't putting his money in. He's putting his money in as directors loans.

With it being a loan he will want it back one day, and he can charge whatever interest he likes.

Big difference.

He's unnecessarily putting us into debt to himself.

He isn't putting money in but he is putting money in!

He's always said the club will remain debt free, why are people making things up?

"debt free?"

The loans would be debt.

Anyhow, the Club's accounts will be out soon, I guess, and we will see what's owed and been spent etc.

The issue with a director's loan is that it is what is says on the tin - 'a loan'. No different from a loan from anywhere else in so much that it has to be paid back as and when the loanee i.e. Smurf calls it in.

When he said that he was willing to sell the club he made it clear that these loans were part of the asking price so I don't think anyone is making it up. If he decides to write the loans off (just the same as anyone else can) then of course we are debt free

If he is putting in money as a loan how can we be debt free?... until the principal and any interest due is repaid its a debt, no matter who it is from/to.

If it isnt repayable its a gift [do they allow them under fair play rules?] not a loan... it would be interesting to see how it shows on the books.

So perhaps he is putting money in.. as a loan and therefore expecting it returned... which means we are not debt free... why do people make things up?

Then if he's including it as part of the asking price there is no debt when it's bought!

Christ people hate him don't they

Don't make assumptions - I don't hate him just don't rate him as a chairman of a football club. Let me put it another way - if he walks away from the club and asks for the loans to be repaid then it is a debt that can only be repaid be selling off assets. Oh I forgot he owns the ground so we have few assets IF those loans were to be called in. Whichever way you want to spin it we owe him money!
