It's a shame that we haven't prioritised giving new contracts to young stars like Alnwick and Streete, who will be wanted by other clubs and who will play at a higher level than League One. That's the Vale way though.

Alnwick and Smith have both been given longer contracts. Nothing for Streete though, which I think is a bit mad.

I am sure that he is currently the highest paid player(could be wrong though) and we know what smurf is like for upping decent contracts but as you say i also think its mad,if we manage to sell a player then i would invest in getting that deal on the table because for me he has been better than Smith and if tied to a 2.5 year deal could make smurf decent money....speculate to accumulate

Unless of course Streete has indicated that he wont sign a new deal as yet and wants to see whats out there in the summer

my mates on trail with macc at the moment and he said that Rowe is by far the best player at the club, so hopefully we can get a deal done for him!

He is a player who i think will be worth decent money to Vale in the future.

My only hope is that the delay in signing him is because he does have an injury at the moment so we are waiting for that to heal otherwise he wouldn't pass a medical....fingers crossed.

Personally i would like to see us get him as the winger and maybe make an approach for Ajose who is available on loan

You mean the team that no longer exists as they were liquidated because of horrendous financial miss-management which bought them titles that clearly they didn't deserve?

The vast majority of normal football fans accept that it is the same Rangers, but as you like being provocative and argumentative, I do hope you happen to meet some of their fans to discuss the matter.

Perhaps you also think Port Vale were formed about 1910 and not 1876 (or thereabouts) as the club went through something similar and were not really in existence until 're-formed' from 1907 for a couple of years. The club name was changed too, but we all accept a formation date of 1876 or thereabouts (some say a year or two later or earlier) but nobody says after 1907.

A team that still plays in the same strip, same badge, same football ground, same fans, same hatred by the Celtic supporters ..... The recent match between Rangers and Celtic was referred to as The OLD FIRM match and the internationally acclaimed pundits went on about which team had done this and that in the previous encounters etc etc. Never once did they mention that this was the 1st, 2nd , 3rd etc time the two teams had met. Yes they were punished for financial irregularities by being dropped 3 divisions but that was the only thing that seems to have been done. They are still Glasgow Rangers, they are still second in the Scottish Premiership and are still currently second team in Scotland - though someday soon they hope to be first again and maybe have a better understanding of financial matters. If you think Rangers were wound up go to the west end of Glasgow and ask the locals who this "New Team" is, that has no History - God I wish Vale had a No History like them. And when you get back from Glasgow you could perhaps show us the NEW arze that they would have given you

Yes I agree mate.

Not too sure if there is any real injury with him as there hasn't been anything said since Macc left him out the squad at the weekend. We just need to get the deal sorted!

Ajose would be a class signing for us, bagged loads of goals for Swindon last season and I don't know what's gone wrong with him at Charlton but he'll be desperate to start scoring again.
