UK Independence Day - 23 June, 2016?

Aussie Rules

Recommended Posts

Think you live in the time of the British Empire. When these supposed trade deals don't appear, and central government has to pay Farmers and Fishermen etc, you will realise the problems we face alone.

Your just scared because you read scaremongering stories.

Rule britannia, Britannia rules the waves.

I see among the first non-British politicians to come out saying what a great day this is are Marine le Pen, leader of France's fascist National Front, and Donald Trump, America's leading racist. It's nice to know we are in such exalted company.

Now then, stop cherry picking.Respect the decision of the people.

"While other EU chiefs have said the UK must begin the exit process as soon as possible, Merkel made no such appeal. She said she would keep the interests of German citizens and German businesses in mind during any talks."

As I expected..it will be all about getting what's right for Germany from now on (if it hasn't always been the case)

If that's a serious view and statement you are extremely deluded. Can you please explain how Britannia (a symbolism given to Britain by the occupying Roman Empire) is ruling the waves with a naval force of 19 capital ships which doesn't include any aircraft carriers? Also, who exactly is Britannia ruling over? Do you suggest the British Empire was a good thing? It may have been for the tiny ruling elite of Britain but it certainly wasn't for the subject nations or the vast majority of the British population.

If it wasn't for the Soviet Union and to a some extent the USA you'd be enslaved by German Nazis now.

Britain has come a long way since the days of Imperialism and thank goodness it has. Unfortunately we took a huge step backwards yesterday but hopefully, in time, we'll recover from it.

I've got a number of German friends and I can assure you Mrs. Merkel is not a popular character right now. They have a much bigger issue with immigration than we do and I can now see a push in Germany to leave the EU as well, lots of them saw the UK as one of Germany's biggest allies within the EU.

I think our voting to leave the EU could well be the first domino to fall in its demise which, personally, makes me very sad.

Well done to everyone whom voted out and a big thank you to all at UKIP whom made this possible.

Warning to Labour....the party will have to seriously change their attitude to their constituents particularly in areas like Stoke on Trent whom have overwhelmingly voted against Labour's IN stance 69% of the vote infact means that Labour are in serious danger of expulsion as a party in Stoke on Trent
