Dreadful first half. Way too predictable. Lots of ball but instead of incisive 2 touch football it's 10 touches per player, letting them get back into position and then we eventually lose the ball.

 

So slow and so predictable. Hodgson is a fool - what on earth has he been coaching in the last week? Did nobody know Iceland had a long throw, did nobody teach defenders to defend?

 

Sterling aside from pace is offering nothing, can't control a football. That said most are as bad tonight if not worse and Joe Hart wants a paddle taking to him.

 

If we rescue this we will be very lucky and they should be very ashamed of what they haven't achieved this tournament so far.

It would be far easier if you both called a truce, and promised to ignore each other. I cannot deal with this at the same time as Iceland have come from behind to lead England.

 

Fine by me, but after the dust has settld on England-Iceland watch out for my name being dragged into it, or referenced by REP, Ive warned he has done this before.

I couldn't care less if he never posted again, better still if he never breathed again, and as stated above the other poster (J Aitch) I had real problems with has not as far as I know provoked and antagonised me or named me, so I haven't had anything to do with him for months.

REP cant help himself though - I will be amazed if the attention seeking deficveincy in his personality can manage to keep it shut.

But, yes, I'll gladly not waste any more time on that thing.

 

PS England will scrape through in the end, people should have noted that Iceland knocked Holland out and have not been a fluke. To be brutally honest, Iceland were the better side in that first half and deserve the lead, but there are 45 long minutes left to salvage a little pride.

Iceland have been favourites with the bookies in-play since well before half-time, but are now favourites to qualify, or get through by any method.

 

Anyone who fancies a bet and has nerves of steel can bet on England at 11/10 right now and you'll win if they get through either in 90 mins, extra time or on penalties. I think it is a good bet.
