Who exactly is the 'aggressor' in a PEACEFUL protest?

Think you will find in this case its the minority who are antagonising the majority. So go figure bud.

Irrelevant though.

If an 'anti-protest' person begins trouble they are surely, by your own definition, the aggressor, and thus to blame?

If anyone "causes" trouble then yes they are to blame.

Agreed. If only the minority who are against this pro-change march would let us take part in our peaceful protest without trying to wind us up or moaning so much!!

SoT. The desired effect is not bankruptcy. It is change.

If the board allowed it to progress to bankruptcy then I'm afraid they will shoulder the blame for not preventing it.

Change in the boardroom will see people coming back.

It is not a difficult concept to comprehend, and if the board believe they can survive without custom then that is their decision, and theirs alone.

I appreciate your comments and I do comprehend the concept - I'm not a numpty. However, I suspect the board would risk going all the way to bankruptcy / administration and all I am advocating is bringing about the desired change without risking killing the club completely or crippling the team even more.

Bit to far to travel, but if I was there, I'd be on the outside looking in!

From the far flung areas of the world the " Vale nation"( as they say over here) are looking for change. 'It', is going to happen, better sooner than later "for the good of us all"!!

How mislead can you be?

If you'd read the recent facts you wouldn't be making accusations of Mo like that.

So what are the recent facts.

He's been sitting watching what goes on at Vale while other people do the dirty work. True sign of a real leader, I don't think so.

Could you please make it clear, in simple bullet points, what your case is against Mo. Please only list professional concerns; personal ones don't count.

Take it away ....

I for one am getting a bit fed up with Starve Em Out, Black and Gold and all associated movements. Mo Chaudhry was that bothered about owning the club that he wouldn't pay a bit of money to Rob Lee to secure his shares so any belief that Mo was the saviour left me that day. He tried to get the club on the cheap (fair enough) but failed and hasn't been seen since.

The football season begins in 2 days and Vale actually have a chance of doing well- good manager again, a stronger squad than the one that Micky got to the top of the league last year- i'm not saying we're going to go up but i think we will challenge and so do fans of many other clubs. The only people who dont give us a cat in hells chance are some of our so called fans- who will no doubt not be at the match on Saturday.

I am excited about the new football season. After 3 months of rubbish Saturdays I will be at Vale park on Saturday supporting my team- a team who have a chance of doing something this season. While i am not pro-board by any stretch of the imagination, it will be Micky and the players who will suffer by not having the excellent backing we gave them last season.

And one more thing- can we stop turning every post into a 'slag off the board' fest. It is bizarre how topics that have absolutely no relevance to the board turn into a ****** SEO advert. Some people actually want to just watch a bit of football on a Saturday- or am i on my own?

I for one am sick of this inference that the people who have thrown their heart and soul into the protests are somehow not supporting the club.

Do you seriously think anyone of them, with their combined 11000 years support want to do this? Do you think they want to stand outside when a game is in progress?

They are doing it, in their opinion, for the good of the club. And, having been a major sponsor for a season, and seen the way the club was run, you should be grateful, believe me. And when all the good work comes to fruition, you and others will owe them an engraved apology

Have a word with yourself.

I'm sorry but that's bull****. If people are protesting peacefully then it's the fault of the person who starts on the protesters not the fault of those protesting.

Your argument is like saying it's a woman's fault she got raped because she dressed like a slut or it's a jewellers fault he got broken into because he left a display out.

Sorry but it's not my fault you're easily insulted. If you read the last paragraph of my post you'll see I'm not trying to be insulting to SEO or anyone who feels that's the approach they should take, I just disagree with it because I think it will do more harm than good, as I've explained, because if you starve the club of its revenues bankruptcy surely has to be the desired effect, what else can it be? Also, for your information, I am also a fan of 40+ years standing and I can imagine how difficult it will be for you to abstain. The Vale are like heroin, very bad for your health, all consuming, very expensive but highly addictive.

Not easily insulted, SOTT. It's just you're telling me that SEO desires to bankrupt the club. And I'm telling you that SEO desires to apply financial leverage to force the directors into change - pretty much as saintvaliant says. But, you know this, of course.

Where I do agree with you, and what concerns me more and more, is whether the leverage will ultimately have the necessary effect on the current incumbents. The problem with SEO is it assumes we are dealing with reasonable people who, like us, would not want any long term or lasting harm to come to the club we all love. But, as you say, I can't help wondering every now and again if they're so stubborn and entrenched, they'd rather take the club to the wall than bend and break to the will of the fans. After all, such is their loss of grip on reality, that only the other week we've had a current director telling us we've never had it so good. Tells you all need to know about their appetite for change, doesn't it.
